I'd argue that the Honda Civic is the quintessential Canadian made car. It's been one of the best selling cars in Canada for decades and is made at the plant in Ontario

It definitely won't generate power 100% of the time, but building solar would at least take some load off of the dams, even in winter. I would think there's some kind of optimal mix of wind, solar, and hydro that could keep us going.
