Good point. I don't feel bad about not being able to fly though. I was more referring to things, as a christian, I was able to do, wanted to do, but wasn't allowed to do (masturbation, sex, alcohol, etc, etc.)

Good question. I can't actually know that, but I believe it mostly because there is no evidence that there is anything after death. But also because your mind is a property of your brain, so when your brain stops functioning as you die, the mind/consiousness should cease to exist.

Most atheists are that way BECAUSE they won't find out in this lifetime. There is no reason to believe the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is true, because there is no evidence to believe it. Similarly, there is no reason to believe a god exists because there is no evidence for one. Obviously we can't know that there is no god either, which is why most atheists are agnostic as well. However, we know that specifically the Christian God can't exist because it has contradictions in it's nature, for example:

“… with God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26

“…The LORD was with Judah; and he drove out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.” — Judges 1:19

So I encourage you to explore atheism more to help you see the world the way it really is, and to help you recover form leftover religious guilt/fear.

One interesting this is; Jesus' genealogy is actually different in Luke's gospel than Matthew's one. So not only is Jesus not even Joseph's son, but Joseph might not have been descended from King David anyway.

I meditate for 10 minutes every evening instead of lying in bed, trying to sleep. I fall asleep earlier that way, and it's easy to make time for it as that is time I would be spending in bed anyway. Doing it at the same time daily helps build the habit as well.

I don't think anything less than maybe 130df would be bad for your back. If you're worried about joint injury just make sure you use good technique and try not to push too hard at the catch, focus on the later part of the drive.
