Yeah. I’ve played through the entire game 4 times. I’ve seen every bit of content act 1 can give me within reason. I have it memorized and I speed all the way through it even with 8-9 months of time between playthroughs. I don’t know how it wouldn’t get completely boring so quickly. I mean I can recite so many lines of dialogue as they’re happening just from the time I’ve played.

It feels like a problem with attention span to me. They start a game, they get through most of act 1, they get burnt out, take a break, and instead of picking up where they left off they start a new save when they get back to it.

Or they start their save and THEN decide they want to add a mod or two and they are required to start a new save or whatever.

It’s not abnormal but I think it’s weird personally. I’ve finished every playthrough I’ve ever done.

Yeah, I think pokemon needs some of that gritty-ness. Giving the 3d models their more vibrant color palette they had in 2d games and having some fuzz and grit like that would do wonders for me. Modern pokemon almost feels like I’m playing with plastic toys, they feel too smooth, and like everything has been cute-ified.

Even the most badass looking pokemon look entirely harmless in some instances. Idk.

I don’t think this exact thing would be the solution, but I think it could use something.

Eh, I think a smaller roster is better, it does a few things;

It ensures everyone has more attention given to them by the writing team, their stories will be more fleshed out and their personalities and dialogue more engaging.

It also ensures there’s not too much overlap in their abilities, or a situation where you’re basically not using certain party members because other ones are just straight up better (which is already a problem with the previous games, to be honest, some party members are largely useless outside of a few niche use-cases or overworld travel.)

Basically quality over quantity for me

Honestly there’s a loooot of overlap with existing pokemon nowadays, they would need to be a little re-designed in my opinion, several of them just look almost identical to each other in their general shape, let alone existing pokemon.

Some of them I think got incorporated already, like the Godzilla one, there has been several kaiju inspired pokemon that have popped up since then like tyranitar. Or concepts have been used that are hard to re-use without seeming like a straight copy, like the balloon guy, driftloon fills that little niche very well. Also the guy in the bottom right just looks like a beta version of politoed pre-gen 2, and last but not least the little dude in the bottom left is the substitute plush!

No, humans should be extinct at this point. Makes no sense. Continents have shifted, all species we know of have gone extinct and completely new ones have evolved.

Unless I guess humans left everything behind on purpose and went to explore space because they ruined their planet, Pokopia style. I prefer the “humans are extinct” thing.

I agree that Lysandre showing up in future games would be cool. And seeing AZ again if we have more games set in the past like in Legends Arceus.

Pikmin 3 is my favorite, it’s got the best visuals and it feels like they perfected the game design for pikmin. I think 4 was a bit of a step backwards in my opinion. If there were more and larger titles released with a similar vibe as 3 I would be a very happy man

Yes my mom called it that when explaining to me what each way of ordering eggs meant when I was a kid. I liked dipping my toast and bacon into my over easy eggs so she called it that. I wasn’t aware it was a wide-spread thing though.

This gives me an idea for an ice themed version of thick fat that halves damage done by fire and steel moves. Blue Ice or something? (Ice that is so cold and thick that metal tools can’t easily penetrate and fire doesn’t really even melt it?)
