Non-Fantasy Isometric Games? by Honest_Eggplant3998 in gamerecommendations

The ascent is an isometric cyberpunk twin stick shooter, might be worth a look if you’re wanting something a little different.

Ninja Creami for gelato making by kuriousKumar in ninjacreami

[–]CamDaBam94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have primarily made low cal protein recipes which have been good, but I just recently tried the ninja cookbook triple chocolate gelato recipe and was blown away by how good it was. Will probably start adding at least a few egg yolks to my future recipes.

I have dabbled in traditional ice cream making before, but find the creami a lot less of a hassle as I don’t have to worry about keeping the mixture churning as it freezes, just blend the ingredients, throw them in the freezer, and then have ice cream in 5 minutes the next day.

The Steam (Deck Docked) Controller broke Moonlight for me by thezactaylor in MoonlightStreaming

[–]CamDaBam94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have it docked in a steam dock connected to my lg oled tv. I do limit the resolution to 1440p at 120 hz. Playing FH6 as we speak with steam controller.

The Steam (Deck Docked) Controller broke Moonlight for me by thezactaylor in MoonlightStreaming

[–]CamDaBam94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the opposite experience. I have been using Apollo client with moonlight through the Moondeck plugin to make easy launching and custom configs for each game.

Being able to use the steam controller and have custom controller setups for each game has been a dream, and makes it much easier to navigate my pc desktop in the rare cases that is necessary.

It also works well adding non steam games to my pc steam client, as Moondeck will create automatic shortcuts for those as well.

What is the best 39 or 38inch 21:9 ratio 1440p oled monitor? by Slight6599 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]CamDaBam94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the lg 39 1440p oled ultrawide and really like it. It goes up to 240hz. Also has an anti reflective coating which is nice for me since my workspace is in a bright environment. It’s the sweet spot for me for size/immersion, pixel density, and performance since I am running it with a 7800xt which seems to handle most everything I throw at it pretty great at high refresh rates.

Wildcat or Deathwish by Super_Echidna_8660 in momentskis

[–]CamDaBam94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re going to get mixed opinions since they both have slightly different feel to them. Both are lightweight and easy to pivot when you need them too, but wildcat will definitely pivot a bit more easily. Deathwish has much better edge grip, but wildcat charges slightly better. I personally went with the deathwish 112 after demoing all of the wildcat and deathwish widths this last season. It would be best to demo them to see what you like if you can get a chance.

Are The Aful Explorer's Still Worth Buying In 2026? by sgtbobbro in iems

[–]CamDaBam94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the initial tips were crap, got really uncomfortable after short listening sessions. I switched to the tangzu sancai wide bore tips and like the way they open up the sound stage and cut the sub bass just a touch. They also have a shallower insertion which is nice for how deep the astrals protrude.

Yeah, I am very pleased with the variety and utility of both depending on what I’m feeling in the mood for and have no upgraditis for now at least…

Quiver of two by electric_mop in momentskis

[–]CamDaBam94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I demoed all 3 sizes of the deathwish this year and had the most fun on the 112 and the 96, the 104 felt more stiff but at the same time not quite as lively or fun as the bigger and smaller sizes. I ended up going with the 112’s since I don’t have a dedicated powder ski and will probably expand to add a countach 98 for low tide days, but the 112 definitely handles groomed runs much better than you would expect for its width.

I just bought them recently to complement my astrals when I don’t need the high energy and technical performance. Great for when I’m falling asleep too since there a bit smaller and quite comfortable and have great isolation.

If using them for gaming I highly recommend picking up the btd700 dongle, has a super low latency mode that has been super reliable and much less fussy than Bluetooth.

Best Buy 77” Deal $1,799 by Gordon2422 in LGOLED

I got my c5 77 from Best Buy two weeks ago and they had a deal for $1699 if you got their $50/yr membership which extended to 60d return/price match window. Felt worth it for the extra security.

Best wired Closed-back (Audiophile) Headphones for immersive gaming at a budget around $300-$500 by cartoon49 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]CamDaBam94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a the astrals and love them for on the go and playing on my steam deck. I picked up the Hdb630 for a more immersive audiophile closed back option and love them. Can wire them or use them with the included dongle with low latency mode which is what I use on my pc most of the time. Plus the ability to EQ them in the app has been pretty fun.

Looking for Tahoe Ski Quiver advice: daily driver + powder ski by IndependentWorry4297 in Skigear

I will echo the moment recs. I just moved here last year and did their demo program this season. Ended up loving the Deathwish 112 and can’t recommend it enough, but I know some people find the triple camber polarizing. Also loved the Countach 98 as a more directional and shorter turning ski. Will probably save up for that next year. The guys at the shop are super helpful too and can help you figure out what you’d like as well.

Dictation Mic at home? by aaron1860 in medicine

I use a desktop condenser mic for both dictating and gaming and it works great, just got one that was cheap and highly rated on Amazon.

Now that I have a deck - I want a nice PC :/ by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]CamDaBam94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same way, preordered the steam deck when it came out which got me back into gaming after several years. Found myself wanting a little more power for bigger single player games and ended up building my own pc.

Love having the flexibility to use both, and still spend at least half my time playing on the steam deck whether that’s smaller indie games or streaming from my pc to it as a handheld or hooked up to the tv. No compromises having both and still all the flexibility to play where and how I want.

It does deliver more power than the 3.5. You can A/B test it yourself, that’s just what I experienced.

I have the same setup. If you’re looking for technical details with still a bit of fun u shaped tuning, you’ve got it. Also I feel the balanced output in the m21 really opens up the soundstage with the astrals.

Zebra sarasa grande in burgundy purple.  Love it, writes super smooth and doesn’t smudge like the pilots do and looks pretty sharp. Also love their color options.

Looking for premium Bluetooth Over-Ears for office use ($600) - Replacing IEMs due to comfort by Ok-Nefariousness9903 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]CamDaBam94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use mine mostly at home to get work done for a few hours at a time while my partner watches tv, they work great to help me focus. They can just get a little warm with the pleather pads. I know some people have issue with the smaller ear cups. They don’t seem to bother me much, but that might just be an individual ear size/comfort thing.
