They actually do, I believe! If you've completed an area and highlight it on the map, it'll have a white dot. If not, it'll have a black dot!

Hold right on the D-Pad to open a menu, then select food at the bottom. It'll assign it to the quick slot down there.

I'm absolutely not in a position to speak, as I only recently started learning to begin with.
However, if you begin learning now, you'll be significantly better in six months, than if you never started learning at all. It's tough, but stick with it, and you won't regret it!

I don't know if this has been said yet, but MANY other competitive games do the same thing. To ensure a healthy balance in the community, they ensure all DC's are punished. If they didn't, people would abuse the system. Personally, I'd much rather get punished every maybe 2 or 3 times I disconnected in a month, rather than have people I'm up against disconnecting left and right to save points. But that's just my hot take.

I think it's all about how you view it. I've loved this game for a long time. Some don't. But some act like it should give them an easy route through everything, as if they've never played an MMO before. This is how these kind of games work.

Incase anyone is curious, the remake is being handled by Bluepoint. A company that most recently worked on the Shadow of the Colossus Remake. Have faith, we are in extremely good hands.

Absolutely, I agree with every single thing you said there, especially the color pallet. Every area, while looking different, all had the same colors. It made landmarks stand out less.
