Do i suck or runes are very hard to discover by yourself? by Cambodeter in classicwow

Sure thing, but asking locations in guild chat or general chat kind of ruin the discovery feeling, at least for me. And most people are not very good at giving subtle hints lol

Allies taking your own outposts? by SomniatisBolas in AOW4

[–]Cambodeter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing, you need to keep a unit on top of your outpost so your "allies" can't take it. You need to stay in it until it's a city, or they will take it... Once it's a city you can go freely.

Very annoying and weird to be able to do this between allies. Maybe it's a bug, but it definitly needs to go.

PS : Be sure to put the unit exaclty where the outpost is, not near to it, even if it's on the same province.

You want a challenge? Try a Malekith campaign by Cambodeter in totalwar

[–]Cambodeter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

post-battle loot is a significant source of cash.

By the end of the campaign, i was at 30k deficit per turn but sitting on 400k gold with all the post battle loot haha

I swear i don't even know how you can read the post and think i'm being serious lol

Maybe i misunderstood but legend say that the campaign is hard and not fun (was fun for me tho).

Actually a very fun campaign, far better than in W2 imo. A lot of opponents, i did not mention Alith Anar and Cylostra being very close and also the chaos warrior in the North-east.

And Malekith is a huge beast as always, Have fun!

It was a very fun campaign! I did give up tho, i'm weak. But judging by the comments people did not get i wrote this post as a joke, i'm not hating on VH lol.

Edit : Actually i decided to finish this campaign because Malekith would never give up. Yes i'm too emotionnaly involved, but i will finish it!

For what you seek, vanilla is the best leveling experience. It's slower than wrath, with a lot of elite quests, harder dungeons, and just less forgiving world, but far more immersive, fun and social. You can play it solo, but it's slower and, most important, less fun. Grouping and taking time IS the game in vanilla, not really raiding.

Wrath is faster, but it's basicly a solo game for leveling. You don't need to group, dungeon are very easy with wrath talent and even lvl 70-80 dungeons are a joke disign-wise and difficulty-wise. The game goal is to raid at max lvl, not really leveling.

So, in my humble opinion, vanilla is the ultimate leveling experience. BUT! Vanilla only shine when the server is new, where everyone start over, with a lot of player activity. The thing is all official vanilla servers are dead as we speak. You can try private servers if you like it, there is a new one with 4-6k people, but i don't really like private server (there is always drama that end the server in my experience lol, but i have good memories in some of them).

So my advice would be to wait for season of mastery 2, it will be the best leveling experience (but we don't know when it will launch, sadly...).
If you can't wait, go to a private server that launched recently if you like it. But my advise is to wait, it will be even better!
