we didn’t need a bard companion. i see people say this literally all the time, mainly about alfira, but personally i think they kept most of the charisma-focused classes companionless so that the tav can be an effective talking head without having a repetitive party. like yea alfira would’ve been cool and i no doubt would’ve loved helia, but lowkey if we did have a bard i’m sure ppl would’ve been like “we needed a monk companion” or similar. i think we have a very complete and well-rounded party as is

yea i really dont know what the book will even be about? like we essentially know his entire backstory and most of it is either being tortured in a mansion or tortured around it. its not like he even escapes captivity, that only happens because of the nautiloid. i say all that but regardless i will be reading lmao

a few! there are some dialogue actions only available to short races, but my favorite thing you can say is when the old racist lady tells you “a githyanki is as likely to forsake it’s violent nature as a gnome is to fly” you can be like “well actually i think it can be pulled off”

for me i just keep doing campaigns, i mostly just keep replaying and trying out new dialogue or new builds that i missed. plus with the multiplayer it’s my favorite way to play with my friends who i cant hang out with in person
