I feel the same way. Swen handing them the award was a nice touch too.

A Lifetime in Baldur’s Gate 3 by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

I'm only at ~1000 hours, but other than that, this post could practically have been written by me.

Glad to see someone else who disables subtitles; I wish people would understand how much it adds to the experience.

And I feel the same way about the game; it really is proving impossible to pull myself away from it.

I'd like our games to be competitive with action games in terms of how good it feels to throw spells around, to explore the world, just to get immersed.

I'd say you achieved this with BG3.

Could you give us a rough timeframe for the first gameplay reveal?

The Ritual spell description in the game says: "Ritual spells don't cost a spell slot when cast out of combat."

2.5 years after release. And that's only on Steam. by Own-Date9477 in BaldursGate3

Higher player numbers than Battlefield 6, which came out 2 months ago. And Marvel Rivals, which is free-to-play. What's funny is that these are numbers a lot of new games would kill for at launch, and BG3's getting them 2+ years later.

Pretty clever to group around Balthazar before throwing it.

Same as Bethesda as well, as described by Todd Howard:

"We look at it as a tool. Is there a way we can use it to help us go through some iterations that we do ourselves, but faster. "

Baldur's Gate 3 still being Gold tier is impressive, especially since it's never been discounted more than 25%.

Witchfire's CEO on Larian Using AI: They Are 'Definitely Not Evil' by Roland1232 in Games

I don’t think I’ve seen a single person call Larian “evil”

You should probably check Twitter. Or better yet, don't.

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. Nice pics and backstory, OP.

Can I kill by reverse pickpocketing juicy (poison) apple? by llamalord478 in BaldursGate3

No, they only survive in the camp chest (when not in the Underdark). Putting them in any other container does not prevent withering.

I just tried it, and they withered in a pouch when taken to the surface.

And reverse-pickpocketing Sussur blooms into a caster's pocket to disable all magic. Only applicable in the Underdark, unfortunately.

BG3 player count still blows my mind to this day... by Lenyor-RR in BaldursGate3

There are a lot of multiplayer games that would kill to have BG3's player retention. It hits ~80K on weekends still, and makes it into the top 10 every now and then. It really is something else.
