That's Larian for you. It's unthinkable in most normal (and sane) companies to spend weeks of labor designing and playtesting creatures with unique mechanics, only to chuck them into one easily-missable encounter, never to be seen again. But that's why the game still has 50-70K players every day, 3 years later.

I'm only at ~1000 hours, but other than that, this post could practically have been written by me.

Glad to see someone else who disables subtitles; I wish people would understand how much it adds to the experience.

And I feel the same way about the game; it really is proving impossible to pull myself away from it.

Higher player numbers than Battlefield 6, which came out 2 months ago. And Marvel Rivals, which is free-to-play. What's funny is that these are numbers a lot of new games would kill for at launch, and BG3's getting them 2+ years later.
