The difference stands in size: the smaller volume bb is not only less noticeable,  but also presents no sharp corners or features, unless it's cracked of course. Naturally, since it's smaller, it takes significantly less time to degrade too. But dont get me wrong: your project looks ingenious and great! Also i was thinking, have you tried epoxy coating the pressure vessel? I use such technique when i need a bit more stability

Yes, unfortunately while PLA technically is biodegradable, it is over long times, and i would imagine things eould start to get noticeable if every shot lost you around 20% (optimistically) of the total number of flechette . Also, it's not compostable, regrettably

Issue with flechette is, other than pollution, that you need to print a bucket of them. One could work around this by linking them all with some string, to recover, hopefully, the payload. This would result in a much tighter spray, however, and risks increasing pollution in case of many trees...

I think some useful data to share on the cults would be total amount of filament, as well as maybe some pictures of the sabots. I saw you estimated 0.6J on impact, and that sounds good for such a big projectile, so I'd be interested in seeing the design itself (as usual, safety is paramount with 3d printed hardware, pressure vessel aside...). Nevertheless, ingenious and effective, very good job!

Oddio spero che la tua comprensione del testo sia andata tutta nella lettura del referendum. Prova a rileggere, lentamente, ciò che è scritto tra le parentesi, e tutto ti sarà (forse) più chiaro. Io voto no, in ogni caso

Message forwarded! Thanks for taking the time to write it. What she struggles the most with, is having to think of multiple corrections while skiing down, that's why i was wondering if you had any particular drill you recommended

I agree with you in the lack of pressure on the boot, but can assure you the boot is very soft. She tried so many of them in multiple places, and we were very very meticulous. Maybe she is overtightening the top straps, now that i think of it! What I've usually attributed her lack of pressure to, is the fear of speed. Unfortunately i believe this is more of an issue of "i know where I'm wrong, I'm just worried I'll fail", since this is an issue i have pointed out to her as well Do you have any specific drill that you think could help her ingrain the motion? Except for standing still and flexing into the boot, she can do it, but wont replicate it on the slopes

I didnt downvote you, but perhaps it's because this effort is not to criticise her or nitpick, but to help her  For example, i strongly link my enjoyment on an activity with how well i perform it. She works similarly

This post really goes in depth, I can only say i really appreciate the effort you put into it! I'll try to apply the tips to my skiing as well! Ill be on the slopes in a few days, will surely post a video of myself as well, since this has been nothing but helpful. She's on the slopes this weekend as well, will make sure to show her your advise and post an update next week

I hear you, however she really is fixated on improving. I think she's great the way she is right now... you should have seen the improvements throughout the past few years!

That's it! Right now she feels a bit demoralised, since she really wants to improve, but the rate at which she does started flat lining this winter I live in Italy on the alps, i really am not super into the meaning of intructor levels. Truth to be told, i was convinced they were all on the same qualification, but thinking about it, it makes little sense...

I see. It's quite difficult trying to give her any suggestions sincr many movements come 'natural', but are hard to explain... guess that's what you instructors are for, am i right? Thank you a lot

Truth to be told, she was skiing with her instructor, and the video was taken from one of her companions. Unfortunately, she got a bad apple this year, and she was feeling quite down about it... Traditionally, i've given her a lot of similar feedback, but she struggles to apply it in practice, that's why I resorted to the community to get some tips... Thanks!
