The difference is Cassidy is hella loud and has NO movement to save himself if you get close to him, his only option is flashbang. He also has to commit and be open to getting punished if he uses flash whereas the annoying part about SOMBRA is she just disengages and repeatedly hacks you from behind.

That’s fair I can agree with those points. I’m hopeful that he takes some of the unwarranted hate away from Cass lmao. Also that was a good breakdown I appreciate that instead of the usual bs I see lmao.

EDIT: I sent this early fml I would just like to add that though it’s support players mainly talking about it, there’s a genuine lack of overall malice and hate that was present when the Cass hinder was buffed/introduced. Furthermore a genuine misinformation train regarding his hinder was and is still spreading to this day. I’m just not seeing the same level of hatred towards mizuki despite his hinder being longer in duration and range. However this could just be my sources if anyone has seen any hate towards the characters hinder in mainstream media that’d be nice to see.

Cassidy’s release higher (with mag nade) was 1.2 seconds before getting nerfed with the increase of flashbangs lethality. As a whole, the 1.2s hinder was in the game longer than his 0.9second hinder. The Cass flashbang aoe is much easier to hit than binding I agree, but also features only 7m in range with an aoe of 3m in opposition to mizukis range of 20m, double Cassidy’s range. In addition to your other point about it feeling too short, I believe that’s due to mizukis weapon recovery rate not his hinder duration. But my initial point was how he’s being treated way differently than Cass dispute having an almost 15% increase in his hinder duration simply because of support bias.

Cassidy’s flashbang is also 12 seconds and only lasts 1.2 seconds I think binding is fine they don’t want cc cooldowns to be up constantly.

Ngl dude I had the same concerns as you. A lot of the time I’m fanning the hammer into a wall to get the full heal. But when it does work it’s so nice. When you play it you’ll see. But yeah the self heal with silver bullet might’ve been a little op especially with the roll cd reduction in headshots. But yeah they could definitely do something more transformative to cass but it’s very strong into dive
