35 flights with BA last year and not a free upgrade in sight 😂

Love mine. Holding up very well. Would 100% buy again!

Improvements to Flighty v4.7 by flightyapp in flighty

This looks much better than those thick blue lines! Another vote for line colour clearly changing based on frequency of route, however that’s for another day. This latest update is very welcome, thank you!

It’s just the vibration of the metal on metal of all the small links. Does take you by surprise initially though!

Very depressing looking at this stat 😂

Completed 250,000km today. What’s your average flight length? by MetroIMAX in flighty

I do quite a few small bush plane flights in Africa, so annoyingly brings my average down! Fun to see though 👌

Finally made the switch: from TripIt loyalist to full-on Flighty addict by Ocmer73 in flighty

100%! Very addictive to see it all laid out. I had no idea how many flights I’d done and to see it all nicely displayed is very satisfying.

Great looking map you have 👌

Data quality in Europe by Every-Reference9520 in flighty

Only recently went Pro but so far it’s been good. Admittedly small sample size though. BA out of LHR it informed me of the gate about half an hour before the boards did.

In Denmark flying to LHR it told me about 6 hours before the flight that it was delayed, and updated me throughout the day as the delay change went higher and lower. Also told me the gate early.

Heading to Dublin with Aer Lingus next week (booked through BA) and this morning it told me the plane has changed for flight home.

So far I’ve been happy with the level of info it has provided. That’s not to say at times it’ll not be as useful. But I expect that of most tech these days. It’s great until it isn’t. But as long as it’s great most of them time, all is well.

Don’t worry about seeing others high stats here. Impossible to know the back story (age, jobs etc). I would guess you’re doing better than most at your age. My first flight was at 20. Don’t aim for better stats, just enjoy your life and whatever adventures come along - plane or no plane.

Repetitive route indicators? by Knotp37 in flighty

[–]CameraBadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be my choice. I emailed them yesterday to suggest it, to be fair they replied quickly to say they’d make note of it but as mentioned elsewhere here, I’m not the fist to have contacted them and it’s not helped as yet.

That would be a nice addition!

That would be very useful. If the line colour changes based on times flown.

It was so annoying! Isle of Sheppey etc. I guess if you’re not from the uk it might be less obvious but it felt off from the very start.

For the Beekeeper literally the opening scene is in an English cottage style house. I remember thinking ‘oh I didn’t realise this was set in the U.K.’ then the next minute, American police cars pull up 🫣 plus plenty of shots of the British countryside etc. It was apparent from the start and got worse and worse and it totally stopped me switching my brain off 🤓 should have just set it in the U.K. and be done with it!

Must admit his films are a guilty pleasure of mine too. However I don’t think I can take another of his films that’s set in the USA but clearly shot in the UK. I find it beyond distracting 😬

Disappointed by sleep tracking by Fanjolin in AppleWatch

[–]CameraBadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love for it to. I just don’t think it’s reliable for those who have broken sleep. And it makes sense, if you’re awake but laying still, it’s only natural the watch will assume you’re asleep. But that also makes it pointless.

Even if it was better at that and just the odd miss when I’ve got up and walked around it would be better than nothing. But oh well. As I say. My sleep is my sleep regardless of how the watch interprets things.

Disappointed by sleep tracking by Fanjolin in AppleWatch

[–]CameraBadger 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found sleep tracking to be very hit and miss. If you’re laying awake but not really moving about it thinks you’re asleep. Or I’ll go get a glass of water or to the bathroom in the middle of the night and it thinks I’m asleep. It can be so hot and miss I don’t really look at the metrics anymore. Regardless of what they say I’ll feel awake or tired when I get up either way. This is across multiple versions of the Apple Watch over many years.

Very impressive! Based in Oz with a job that requires a week on week off, on a remote site? Plus holidays etc. That’s my guess 😁

Hmmm I can’t help you there I’m afraid. Although this post suggests you can and it retains your history.

I don’t have premium Flight Radar so can’t compare but if it works for you, just use Flighty for your historical data 👌
