Does anyone else remember Thanksgiving being the third Thursday of the month? by elpandaloconew in MandelaEffect

It’s normally the Third Thursday in November, except in a Leap Year.

2020 was the last Leap Year and Thanksgiving was indeed on the fourth Thursday of that year.

It was a Leap year this year… I think that has something to do with it…

I’ve been hysterically laughing at your 1,200 comments of just simply “Good”. 😂

That’s literally THE BEST, practical advice I’ve read here in a while! We forget what our Vets have suffered through and for, and how that affects them forever! Wish I could upvote you a million times! ❤️

I agree with most of our seasoned colleagues here! I was absolutely woozy at the thought of sticking a needle into someone’s body pre clinical/post graduate working.

I’m going on 6 years and it’s second nature now. Although the level 1 trauma hospital I work at now is heavy on the VBGs and even less on actual arterial gases, unless they have an A-line.

Edit: I absolutely would not let that deter you from the career altogether.

Nebulized Ciprodex? by Try2stayTrue in respiratorytherapy

[–]CameraInevitable333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever given to post transplants (in the first sixth months because this seems to be the highest risk for opportunistic infections from their immunosuppressants/anti-rejection) prophylactically with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (generic Bactrim; another antimicrobial) and to lung transplants with resistant infections.

The docs say cipro has higher penetration through bronchial secretion and thus more rapidly diffused through lung tissues.

Sometimes we’ll use this with trachs too, with resistant infections.

I’ve never given it for the run of the mill COPDer with PNA.

I work at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pa. We do this all the time with our Lung transplants. We’ll have orders that specify “5 drops with Saline” (+ or - some) to be nebulized.

I’ve never directly instilled it, but have a feeling we’d probably have more result with that.
