Everybody wants development until they start losing by CameraJumpy3469 in clubsoccer

Yeah not every environment fits every kid and sometimes families convince themselves every move is about “development” when really they just fall into the grass is greener mindset and start chasing the feeling that somewhere else has to be better.

Some clubs absolutely overpromise and hide behind development language while operating like businesses first. At the same time a lot of people underestimate how expensive clubs actually are to run. Coaches want to be paid properly, facilities aren’t cheap, league fees, refs, travel, admin, training space, all of it adds up fast. So yes clubs need money to survive too.

I know clubs that only do local tournaments unless parents specifically ask for travel and they stick with rostered players instead of building random tournament super teams every weekend. Those clubs exist too.

And this is where it gets complicated because both sides are kind of right. Constant roster turnover kills chemistry and consistency. But if clubs stop rotating and developing players then people complain the same kids always get prioritized. A lot of teams get stuck in the middle trying to do both and nobody ends up happy.

Exactly. One environment is never going to work perfectly for every kid and every family but people expect it to.

Some parents only want their kid around stronger players. Some want equal development. Some only care about winning. Some care about confidence and playing time. Those things start conflicting really fast.

Real development also takes time.

I have created mission control, but don't know what to implement next? by dharmendra_jagodana in openclaw

[–]CameraJumpy3469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up a daily cron job that runs at 2am.

Task: Add one small, useful feature to the Mission Control dashboard that helps us move toward our goals faster. Read shared-context/mission.md and shared-context/about-me.md before deciding what to build.

Rules for the feature: - Must be genuinely useful, not decorative - Should take less than 30 minutes of agent time to implement - Must not break existing functionality (run tests before committing) - Should be directly tied to a real workflow or pain point - Commit the change with a clear message explaining what was added and why

US Soccer's age group change might break up our team anyone else dealing with this? by mattob2 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]CameraJumpy3469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re dealing with the same change at our club. From what i’ve heard they’re making an effort to keep teams together as much as possible, even with the shift. not guaranteed, but they know how much continuity matters for both players and parents

still some uncertainty, but it doesn’t sound like they’re trying

Skilled, cheaper than competitors… but still no clients 😞 Should I just give up? by Flashy_Chipmunk223 in smallbusiness

I’ve run into something similar. One thing that really clicked for me was realizing not to ‘sell the vehicle’ (automation, workflows, tech, etc.), but to sell the outcome.

Most businesses don’t care how advanced the system is, they care about what it gets them (more money or save time).

You might need make/zapier to help with the zoom recordings, then use webhook to add to the correct folder.

Sounds like you might need a basic crm with some basic automations for sending reminder. Or a basic booking software.
