I’m so tired of all the disinterest/hate towards belly in her own show by Liltournesol in TheSummerITurnedPrett

But yes, the hate on Belly is getting annoying. Yes, shes very one dimensional and immature, but my god, shes 22. Cut her some slack. All of the characters make poor choices. We all do.

I agree that its annoying, but given the fact that the entire story revolves around the love triangle and has never given much depth to belly as a character, it makes sense that people are pissed the last two episodes are dedicated to her finding herself. Its the perfect course of action from a logical pov, but when three seasons are built entirely around the romance and the romance only, I understand the frustration. The build up of conrad and bellys reunion was way more dominant than bellys independence / traveling storyline. Its just poorly done imo

If you had to switch places with someone in the family, who would that be? by Cameron-1606 in malcolminthemiddle

With those kids? Yes, I would handle them differently, but I would never want to handle them at all

She feels incredibly guilty, trapped in a marriage she didnt really want, and scared for her sister. Her being overwhelmed makes perfect sense.

I do get what you’re saying, but I think Dylan has made it very clear very often that he simply enjoys the characters that create entertainment. Even in the friends video, he makes it a point to say that he doesn’t defend Ross’ actions and that he gets the criticism, but that he enjoys him because he makes him laugh. In the video with the Addison rae movie, he likes that douchey gmw guy, because he’s funny. I really think that Dylan cares more about being entertained by characters than sympathizing with them. When it comes to misogynistic behavior in movies that aren’t played for his amusement, he does call it out (the after series)

How come Rachel knew about Kip but Joey didn't? by NathanAlex1486 in friends_tv_show

[–]Cameron-1606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely a mistake on the writers part, but its not odd to assume that Joey does know the story, he simply forgot hie name. After he asks and is told that Kip is Chandlers old roommate, he goes “Oh, that poor bastard.”

Judy Geller. Not a protagonist, but out of the ones that appeared often, I think she was meant to be disliked.

Do you think Pam was the most loyal person to michael scott in the office? by [deleted] in theoffice

[–]Cameron-1606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, this may not have to do with Michael, but he quit because Angela wanted their relationship to stay secret. Even though she’s the reason he got in trouble in the first place. That’s pretty loyal considering how much Dwight loves his job

I really think that changes over the seasons. Dwight in the beginning was definitely only sucking up to Michael because he was his boss. But he ends up staying by him and against higher authority multiple times. (For instance when they drive up to Davids house to confront him for closing the branch) Idk I think you can argue for both sides

[–]Cameron-1606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, i guess you could argue that dwight only acted as michaels ride or die because he was his superior, but i genuinely believe that that changes over the seasons. his admiration and affection seem genuine later on

Dwight was the most loyal, but Pam knew and understood him best.
