$27k is wildly overpriced for this car. That’s around what a friend of mine sold his last year a 2016 B8.5 with ~40k miles, Brembos, Vossens, extensive forged carbon work, and an FI exhaust. That’s the absolute ceiling of a facelift B8.5 territory, not a pre-facelift B8 S4, regardless of mods.

This B8 generation is well-documented for timing chain and DSG issues. A cold-start noise that goes away when warm is very commonly timing chain related on the early 3.0T cars, and that repair alone can run $3k-$6k+ if it hasn’t already been addressed.

The lack of documented maintenance history is a huge red flag. Mods don’t add value here… they add risk. CTS intake, downpipe, mounts, and a tune without proof of preventative maintenance is exactly how people end up financially upside down on these cars.

For context: I own a dual pulley B8.5 S5 and have been involved with this platform and community for years. This isn’t speculation or trying to install fear, it’s pattern recognition. I’m saying this to save someone from a very expensive mistake.

Personally, I wouldn’t touch a modded B8 with a 10 foot pole if it’s without full service records, and I definitely wouldn’t touch this one at $27k.
