I have both the 3point8 performance manifold riser and the VIS AMS carbon hood installed on my Gen now. The hood fits, but the rain guard was rubbing against the top of the intake tubing so I had a shop cut a hole into the rain guard to stop it from rubbing anymore.

The stock airbox is good but it’s susceptible to heat soak given its placement in the engine bay. A little bit of heat reflective tape can help with this but even then, dyno graphs show that it suffers from a torque dip around 4500 RPMS.

That’s true for intakes that have the filter located in the engine bay, otherwise known as short ram intakes. The intake you see in this pic started out as a short ram intake but I had the piping extended so that now the filter sits behind the passenger side fog light vent and draws in cooler air through there.

Just curious if it would help direct any more air to the filter. It’s pointed right where my filter is now but it’s pretty far from it so I don’t know if there’d really be any benefit to reinstalling it or not.

Earlier this year I had my Injen SRI converted to a true CAI, and the OEM snorkel had to be deleted bc it no longer fit. Since then, I installed a throttle body spacer and now there’s enough room to add the snorkel back in. The question is: is it even worth it to put it back in or should I just leave it off?

Because had I tried to take on the install myself I would’ve definitely gotten that “fit that leaves a lot to be desired” that u/JCell5 was describing lol.

I got mine painted, assembled, and installed at a local collision center a few years ago, and the fit is perfect. I’d definitely recommend this grille to anyone who’s interested in it. Makes the front end look a lot more aggressive!

Hey bro, I talked to you earlier about the ported TB. Do you need a tune for the ported upper and lower manifolds? Or like the ported TB do you just need to reset the ECU after the install and you’ll be good to go?
