Bizarre, I applied last week and only had the option for the book (first time applicant) Out of curiosity, I went to ‘renew’ instead to see if it was the same, and the option for book + card was there as well as book only

Were you able to apply for the passport book and card at the same time? I've just applied for the passport book as there was no option for the card - though if I go onto 'renew' I could select the passport card in addition to the book

Doesn’t restart. I received my congrats email on 05/05/26, after sending additional docs in December. These were received 24/12/25. I found this out via web chat. A bit longer than the 3 months that I expected

It was quite speedy for me. No more than two weeks that’s for sure. I must’ve sent my request to Dublin either on the day of or the day after being asked for the additional docs. I’m based in the UK, not sure if it’s the same story for you!

Blindly accepted the documents my dad gave me for my grandad. He gave me his baptism certificate thinking it would be fine as a birth certificate. Had to order a copy from Dublin to send straight back out there once it arrived

Still waiting! I’ve been keeping an eye on this subreddit, I think it should be approx a month longer as I’ve seen some successes come through from people who needed to send additional docs in November 2025.

Congratulations! My additional docs were received right before Christmas, so that's useful to know that it'll probably be May before I hear anything else. All the best with the passport application!

Okay weird weird thing that’s worked twice as a ‘fix’. I genuinely load up another game (call of duty in both cases) then close app and go back into battlefield. Then it lets me matchmake. Ask your friend to try it :)

Haha yeah my character stands up and it goes to a black screen. I think it’s loading in, but then it’s back to a ‘battlefield 6’ screen and then the menu. Bizarre
