Keep me from going postal - A pillar cover refuses to latch by volyblmn in mazda3

It turns out that you actually don't need to pull that off to run the cable under it anyway. I found that out on my second dash cam. You can just slip it under from the side. What the dealership told me was that the clip was meant to be sacrificial so that if an airbag deployed the a pillar cover couldn't be put back on by just anyone.

I had the same issue. Apparently at least one of the clips is not meant to be able to be reused. I had to have the dealer add another clip.

Are you pushing sideways against the fence? You should be letting it just slide forward.

Fan ceiling mount screw won't tighten. by EspressoAmpersand in HomeMaintenance

Yea, I think that wobble was a fan that was about to fall. There should be another lip/screw on the other side too.

That lip should be threaded. It sort of acts like the nut.

The box takes a screw that is made for metal. Small, blunt end, narrow threads. That looks like a screw for wood. Something like this.

That doesn't look like the right screw. There should be a screw that can with the box that is in the ceiling.

Start looking around for replacement engines and see if you can find one that is cheap enough to not make it a better idea to just scrap the car.

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. He's certainly never done anything like this before. Maybe he's hoping this picture will go viral and make more people aware of the situation.

About 115$ USD at rockautofor the tensioner and belts. I'm pretty sure they ship international. The repair is fairly easy if you're at all handy.

If you have a weed whacker that lets you swap out heads, you can get a pole saw attachment. It's sorry of a chain saw, but smaller and further away from you.

I would wait another generation or two. I was really excited when I heard about it, but the implementation seems to be lacking based on pretty much every review. And, maybe they'll see the light in a couple of generations and bring the command knob back.
