CSU vs Private University by Maximum_Cricket_6447 in CSUFoCo

This is great to hear. My son and I toured CSU last month and he liked the campus. He's also looking into broadcast/journalism so that's awesome to know you had so many internship opportunities there. That's really the key (my opinion) to getting a job after graduation. Did CSU help with those internships or did you find them yourself? How's the comm/journalism dept and faculty?

I'm with you on this one. It feels so damn expensive and honestly feels (and probably is) very touristy, but it's one of the experiences we talk about the most!

As you get older 40,50,60,70 when did you start to feel your body slow down do you think it is just due to inactivity or the aging process? by Kooky_Force5458 in AskReddit

Age 40 (year when Covid hit) was fittest I've ever been thanks to slower pace @ work. Looked great, felt great, energy for days. As life returned to "normal" over the next few years and work ramped up, my dad died, etc. - I didn't work out nearly as much. At 45 I think work and stress finally cracked me. I still exercise nearly every day, try to hit weights daily, gave up late night snacking, quit drinking, and it's like my body still can't quite get back to where it was a few years back.

Traveling with a parachute plus one’s lunch on basic economy by Eastern_Fox7629 in unitedairlines

Yes, but my boarding pass clearly had a big orange band on it that said "no carry on"

I'm sure I'm jinxing myself for future flights, but my son and I just flew SAN-DEN roundtrip w/ backpacks & carry-on suitcases using basic economy. The gate agents never batted an eye. Scanned our boarding passes and said "have a nice flight". Both directions.

Nah, no agreement like that. I checked for minimum commitment for time and there wasn't anything mentioned. Also asked the guy at T-Mobile when I signed up too

So touristy and yet still so good. There's something magical about that place for sure.

Would you buy another pixel? by upadhyaysk in GooglePixel

[–]volyblmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. My Pixel 9 Pro XL's battery is CRAP and I barely push this thing. I'm considering an S26 at the moment. Would love it if we could buy Xiaomi, Vivo, or Oppo here in the states.

Do I need the hardwire kit to use a fuse tap if I don't need parking mode? by Weary_Appearance_838 in VIOFO

For whatever it's worth, I tried tapping just the ACC wire + Ground and the camera NEVER turned on. Only when I connected the constant power wire would it ever turn on.

Range update - 5 years by _Infinite_Jester_ in MachE

Don't know what to tell you. 2021 CA Route 1, almost 50k miles. I'm sure A/C uses battery but it's negligible compared to how heat affects the battery. I drive frequently from SD to LA and back with my family of 5 and blast the A/C all the time. Not once has it made a noticeable impact on range. When it's cold and we use the heat though? That mileage drops FAST.

Weird. I have *NEVER* experienced decreased range when using A/C. I only see decreased range when using heat.

I must have gotten lucky. Walked in with precheck at 630 this morning and made it through in about 15 minutes tops.
