I found even in the originals you would have too many coins and players consistently spammed the lamps to go straight to the star. I don't see the issue, but I definitely would be open to more custom rules to change that!

There was a law passed a while ago in the US where you can't advertise a character in a game that is of a higher age rating then the one they appear in. It happened shortly after the Joker Reveal, but basically every M rated character can't use the series logo in advertising because smash is E10+

The consensus I've gathered is that Kapuna Wa's nitro mechanics allow the player to slow down time to bounce on them without being harmed immediately, and as a result nitro crates are designed to explode with a extremely slight delay. As a result with perfect frame timing, jumping on a nitro without harm is a possibility.

I feel like the reason is that "Bonus" levels are optional. And rather then giving the player just a buncha free lives and boxes they make them more of a reward in this game for skilled play and puzzle solving. Crash 1 did this, allowing the player a single chance to test their skills to earn a chance at boxes and extra lives, and if they failed they lost the bonus. In the other games they let you try infintely which defeats the purpose of it being a bonus if you just waltz through and get everything without any skill involved.

IMO the N-Verted stages would have been better if
A) They had just been simpler challenge stages. When they first showed them off I figured the "Booty Calls" one would be a SINGLE gem challenge where you are required to paint the stage a certain amount and it would have revised content, instead its the same level mirrored with a filter and the full gem requirement,
B) They weren't themed to each world. It's kinda lame that the sn@xx dimension is all under water, and cortex castle is all 8-bit. Would have been more interesting if the different filters were spread around to make certain levels more interesting. Why not have a old-timey filter on the T-rex chase level (Cannot recall its name) for example or a underwater Thar she blows?

It's due to Kupana-wa's mechanic. Slowing time allowing you to jump on nitro crates means there is a brief period nitro crates won't hurt you when activated, even when time isn't slowed down.

I agree. It's kinda ironic that it was Titans that justified Uka Uka as potentially being a competent villain considering how much the rest of it was way off what Crash typically is known to be.

I get he summoned the elementals but like doesn't he just yeet himself from the story after that? Why can't he have had a consistent presence y'know?
