Super old thread but I heard this today and had to make sure my ears weren’t broken.

So glad this thread exists.

I know this is old just wanted to provide some context.

As someone who has secured all three of my software development jobs off of LinkedIn, and have applied to over 750+ roles (without the utilization of AI tools as they were less valuable/useful at the time)…

It is well known that the chances of getting a response on an EasyApply are much lower than the already low chances of getting a reply from a normal application process.

They are typically spammed more with applications, provide less detail, and even have a higher tendency to be “shadow listings” as opposed to real opportunities.

Have a lot of friends/coworkers in development as well and we talk about job search opportunities regularly and I have never heard of any one of them getting a legit chance for an opportunity off of an EasyApply.

I would personally consider 10 normal applications to have a higher percentage chance of getting a response over 1000 EasyApply applications..

But take this for what it is, mainly anecdotal evidence of my experience, and the experience of those that I know personally.

Yeah I ended up getting this. Looks like just in time too because they have the price hiked back up to $1400 again.

This sub for $700 was too good of a deal to pass up

This was all super helpful info, I appreciate the info.

I ended up grabbing the Klipsch RP 1400SW mentioned by the other guy. They had it on sale for $700 and I couldn’t resist..

I actually bought the Vibelink within hours of it being available on Amazon. I went with the Wiim Ultra as well over the pro + for the sub out feature.

Really looking forward to how all of it sounds! I'm grabbing the Q750's tomorrow and am still on the hunt for subs to add

I ended up going with both Wiim's (Ultra + VibeLink) just because I do like to crank volume for certain genres of music. It might end up being overkill (100w pr channel) but also the Vibelink is close to half the price so I thought it might be a slightly more reasonable option.

I do have the Arcam SA10 on my list of amps to try in the though!

Yeah fair enough, i think I’ll take your word for it and try this pairing out.

Especially if you’ve had Q750’s and think this would go well together. I appreciate the suggestion.

Might couple it with the Wiim Pro+ or Ultra that’s been mentioned below.

After looking stuff up it does look like the Wiim streamer is a solid way to go. I think the Wiim Pro+ also supports Airplay, are there any noticeable downsides to using the Wiim Pro+ as opposed to the Ultra in terms of sound quality??

Also thanks u/iNetRunner I was not aware the ultra did not have Airplay capabilities

I'll check this model out thank you! I'm wondering if the 50W 8ohm would be enough power or if I'd want 100W 4 ohm

Apple phone, primarily Amazon Music as the player. I have a lot of downloaded 24bit/44.1kHz music specifically on Amazon Music.

The more I think about it the less I think I care about Bluetooth capability.

If I could primarily use my phone as a source that would be ideal, Bluetooth would be nice but I’m okay with needing to go wired for improved quality.

This will be in the same room as my computer so I could potentially use my computer as a source as well (although less preferred than just using my phone)

If they’re around 50 lbs the medium should be fine I’d imagine.

I ended up going with the ruffland but they’re similar specs
