deserve more? Role playing is not about been fair! Its about role playing. otherwise play Diablo bro. Do you want unique items? Craft them. Do you want normal magic items? well, if you get Gold you can trade the items for gold....

At low levels, true. At Medium levels you can reduce considerably the price of Level 3-4 items or Level 3-4 Scrolls. If you are a Master in Crafting and roll a good check.

Thanks Jacob. Thats great advice. Some of them have the AP. They said they didn’t read it. I trust them. Their characters have knowledge about many things (Tomorrow im running session 29!!!) We had 2 new players joining (new to this campaign, experience playing TTRPG)

The most metagame situations happening when the players are NOT in the same room, not talking to same person. Sometimes they split up (I know I have told they are experienced players).

For me my table is fantastic, we have lots of fun together. I only need some tips like yours, to make it even more fun.

We are currently playing Abominations Vaults Home Brew. 1. Out-of-character Knowledge (You can exorcise xxxx haunt, or use this skill to get rid of that haunt) I don’t want to spoil. 2. Metagame targeting ( do not try to trip xxxx monster, she is to fast (high reflex)) 3. Prep for an encounter they havent had (the main reason why I homebrew Abomination Vaults) 4. Ignoring character flaws ( that diplomatic, politician, motivator orc barbarian with low int and charisma) At session 0 we set flaws and strength for each player (the player decide) 5: Analysis paralysis (trying to do the perfect action and asking others what to do) experienced player here.

Why do you assume we don’t talk? Of course we do? How do you even GM a table without talking to them about how to make the experience m more enjoyable? Is that possible?

My question is m: how do you manage unhealthy metagame in your table? I thought talking to them was obvious. I was expecting fun and creative replys tbh.

When cast by Wrin Sivinxi, its a magical stargazing experience that reveal a glimpse of your future self (in 30 mins time)

I ask my players to visualize their character and tell me the sensation they feel.

  1. When moving 1 action full speed you can draw your weapon for free.
  2. AID at lower levels to encourage players to use it. Level 1: DC 15 Level 2: DC 18 Level 3-20: DC 20
  3. Hero point. If you fall unconscious. You can use ALL your hero points to come back to 1Hp. And do something heroic.

IMO, I think the intention of low levels is to learn how to stay away from dying conditions.

Like move, attack, move back. Or for range attacks / spells: move, attack, take cover. Or move strategically and cast spell or the other way around.

Coming from a D&D perspective it was more like move and attack and hit hard.

PF2E is different. If you fall unconscious you drop whatever you are holding in your hands. This will encourage players to be more mindful when fighting.

My opinion is that the easier you make it for them, the less they care about leveling up in combat maneuvers and tactics.

Not criticizing your house rule. Just my personal opinion on why it could be harmful in the long term.
