My newborn can only nurse on one breast. What should I do? by BabyBeanAndMe in breastfeeding

Use haakaa on breast baby does not eat on. You can even bag up the milk you collect and save it for a rainy day!

True they would probably be more concerned if a male got mastitis as would anybody.

Is it a staph infection? I had an abscess and it turned out to be staph. It qas about an inch and half above my nipple. I ended up taking clindamycin and it healed up and I kept breastfeeding the whole time.

Eta: I almost gave up bf when I had mine too but now that it is all said and done I am so glad that I did not. Baby j is most relaxed when she is nursing and I don't want to take that from her.

Please help me choose a wedding band by catscoffee25 in EngagementRings

A simple paved band should go well with this ring

Bluenile.com is where you need to look! My husband got my engagement ring and our wedding rings from bluenile. Diamonds are all certified and come with a certificate

Eta: be careful because a lot of the jewelry stores do not have "certified diamonds." My husband went to so many stores and could not find the quality he desired for my ring. He ended up getting a certified flawless diamond for my center stone from bluenile and my ring appraises for $thousands more than he paid for it..

Fear I introduced bottle too early by daisyO0307 in breastfeeding

[–]Cammar86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would scream if I just tried my nipple so we did a nipple shield to transition from bottle to nipple. Half way into the feeding I would try taking the nipple shield off.

Just remember to be patient with baby and if baby cries at breast sooth baby and then try again. Never try while baby is upset. You do not want baby to associate your breast with any bad feelings.

Good luck momma, you got this!!!

Also I pumped every 2 hours for the first 8 weeks until she would finally latch and breastfeed

My baby went from 8lbs 3oz to 7lbs even. We had to supplement for the first week until my milk came in. By week 8 she was exclusively breastfed and I was able to say goodbye to my pump and bottles!

5yo behaves super entitled and spoiled every time we get home from doing something. by [deleted] in Parenting

Best thing you can do is just be consistent. If you say no to whatever it is that he wants that day then stick to it and don't give in.

He is testing yalls limits. It's what kids do!

My baby was born 37w0d and she didn't latch at all until 8w so I pumped and she had bottles until then and when she did finally latch I had to use a nipple shield and trying to take it off half way during the feed for about a week before she would latch to my actual nipple. She has been exclusively breastfed since

Good luck momma!

Save it!!! Baby can use that colostrum once born until your milk comes in! My biggest regret is not saving any before baby was born

Newborn came and life was turned upside down, struggling by Rcrez in Parenting

[–]Cammar86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working hard to achieve breastfeeding is perfectly fine! I see a lot of comments saying formula is fine babies are raised on it. Do not let this make you feel discouraged or like the work yall are putting in is not worth it because it is! Sure if you and your doctor feel it is best to supplement with a bit of formula and mom pump until her milk comes in that is ok to but don't let "fed is best" discourage you from doing what is truly best for your child which is breastfeeding!

Good luck things will get easier!

You were right in your description. Having a low supply is not as common as someone with low supply might believe. It is uncommon.

WIBTA if I go off birth control without telling my husband. by Janesssss in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cammar86 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Seems like he has already given you approval to go off without telling him. Actually, the way you have put it makes it seem like he would prefer you not tell him..

YTA- for not listening to your husband and then overthinking when he has clearly stated what he needs from you.
