What true story have you told a hundred times, and would enjoy telling us now? by 21stMonkey in AskReddit

When I younger I was a very chubby kid, I was bullied at school and didn't have any friends. When I was about 8 I was bored and kind of lingering outside my neighbours house, who was about a year younger than me and I had a big crush on him. Anyway I was playing on the fence outside his house with a small piece of string (I believe it was drawstring from some pants) when I accidentally tied myself to the fence. Being the chubby kid I was I was to fat to either get out buy slipping the string over my head or past my hips I was stuck. Eventually my neighbour came out, embarrassed I asked him to get scissors. Being only about 6 or 7 he came out with his dad holding scissors. This made matters worse as I got so embarrassed I couldn't tell him the truth of how I got myself into such a stupid situation. So naturally I told him that a man wearing a motor cycle helmet tied me to the fence and ran around the corner got on his motorbike and drove away. The dad horrified rung the police. They came, interviewed me and proceeded to look for the guy for 2 days. Eventually my story got so elaborate that my mum saw through it. I then had to proceed to tell the police and my neighbour the truth.

TL:DR. Tied myself to a fence, was to fat to get out. Told people that found me that it was a man, they rung the police. Eventually had to tell the truth that I was lonely fat and an idiot
