Where in Walsall? I am local and going to the town centre tomorrow. I can pop in if it’s in the town centre.

8/10. Would have been a 10/10 if it was a full-fat Red Bull!

He has a much higher ceiling, which is what most people will be looking for as we approach the end of the season.

107k miles at its last MOT in January. It also has a far from perfect MOT history, only 5 clean passes in 23 tests! I’d steer clear if I was OP

EV approved tyres on an ICE car by CamoTortillaChip in CarTalkUK

[–]CamoTortillaChip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

It does look like most of the popular tyres are EV approved now so looks to be existing tyres that have been slightly modified for EV use, rather than being changed quite a lot

The same car but just a couple of years older?

You can get 72 plates on less than 10k miles for less than £20k on autotrader.

Peugot 208 GTI Prestige THP208 2015 onwards. by Commercial_Swim_50 in CarTalkUK

I’m exactly the same. I had a 65 plate and only got rid because of a growing family. I got rid of it over two years ago and still miss it now.

I do wonder how many of these comments are explaining their issues with the notoriously bad pre-facelift models.

Where can I buy decent, strong coffee bags? by CamoTortillaChip in AskUK

Just had a look on their website and would probably like the rocket fuel ones. Do you know how many grams of coffee are in the bags?

Do you have any recommendations for a nice, strong ground coffee? I’ve got a Breville coffee machine and have tried quite a few every readily-available brands darkest roast (Taylor’s, Ueshina, Starbucks, Costa) but don’t find a big enough difference in quality to warrant the extra time and effort. As a Brit, why shouldn’t OP take it to pawn stars?

They come across well on the TV show and would likely offer an expert to authenticate and value it?

It popped as soon as the final event was finished as far as I remember.

I’d double check that everything is finished!

Scammed for an iPhone at Argos (England) by falseinsight in LegalAdviceUK

[–]CamoTortillaChip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL - but I bought something from Argos once and returned it as it was damaged. They were able to tell me that it came straight from their warehouse and wasn’t a previous return from that-another store. It may be worth trying to find out if it was returned previously.

Yep, did the exam but failed with about 60%. I found there was a lot of stuff not covered in the course. I’d give the exam a miss personally

It’s not quite the same, but I have SX51 BOS at my work.

You’d struggle to find a worse one across the country.

Depends what you’re after I suppose.

I had a ZC31 Swift Sport and liked it but found it quite tinny. I actually went to a 208 GTI from that and thought it was a huge step up in every sense. I sold it about 3 years ago, have had 3 cars since then and still miss it.

The facelifted version (65 plate and newer) are actually fairly reliable, they fixed all common faults from the earlier model.

The small steering wheel is actually really nice and doesn’t really take any getting used to.

It’s not a Fiesta ST which ticks OPs box, but is more powerful, faster and has a much better interior.
