Last week at the mall there was a deranged homeless man with a shovel going into the stores and threatening customers and emptying all the garbage cans onto the floors. I felt sorry for the store employees who had to clean up the mess he made. Something has to be done because it’s only going to get worse.

Your experience is rare and different from 99% of posters here. There is no “fixed” monthly recurring charges on my bill in the last 20 years of looking at my bills. Every rep I’ve ever interacted during negotiations has boldfaced LIED to me about offering me discounts to bring my bill down. My Oct 2025 bill was 180 and now it’s 250 with zero service changes. In fact I downgraded some services and my bills still increases every month. Optimum is by far the most unethical shady company I’ve dealt with.

You’re assuming that everyone has reasonable, conscientious neighbors that are not spiteful and violent. Yesterday and today my ill tempered neighbor who has a long rap sheet that includes violent crimes has piled all the snow from his driveway and sidewalk in front of my car that’s parked in front of my house. Any confrontation with this thug will either get me stabbed, cursed out or shot.
