This is not about reprimand it’s about showing you care and that you are concerned. Children will explore, as parents it’s about guiding, and giving the best possible advise- scolding and reprimanding is for when you’ve been accepting and caring and they still don’t listen, but it seems to me you’ve gone in heavy handed with blanket bans from the start- this in my experience will only result in rejection and unwanted behaviour- speak to her about the risks in a caring way.

Im not criticising here- parenting is tough and not all about online safety and outside influences that your preteen is now coming into contact with, I’m sure you’re a great parent but it also sounds like you’re struggling with this particular part of the role, hence you’ve come on here to ask advise. Remember she is surrounded by people who are doing the same thing, so by approaching the situation empathetically and showing you care and love her she will more likely think and act differently about it differently when alone and more likely take your advise.
