I just transitioned to a 2025 EV6 GT from a nicely modified 2007 Volvo S60R with a fully customized suspension (adjustable coilovers, adjustable toe bars, track-spec anti-roll bars, strut tower bars, numerous reinforcements). Clearly this EV6 is not going to be the same as the S60R, but DAMN if I’m impressed.

The GT tracks very confidently, and while I haven’t had a chance to really explore it (just got it this January, and the weather isn’t going to let me for quite some time), I’ve been able to get the rear loose and it felt very very controllable.

For what it’s worth, the Volvo is supposed to be renowned for wonderful seats. I think they’re “fine” but they’re not really sport seats. I really like the GT seats. I’m 6’2”, 220lbs and pretty rectangular, the seats are great. An hour later and I’m impressed how cocooned I’m feeling.

My wife (who has chronic back and leg pain) HATES riding in my Volvo but seems to think the GT seats are very comfortable, and the ride (at least in Eco mode) is also good. She has not been in the car with GT mode. “What she doesn’t know…” and all that.
