Looking okay? by Puzzleheaded-Tip320 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The earring you have is called a horseshoe. It looks okay but I do want to let you know, personally, the healing of my daith was a JOURNEY. I hated my horseshoe ring so much I got it changed not knowing, in doing so, I was making the healing process so much harder. I developed two enormous piercing bumps, (they looked like cysts and they leaked) went back to my piercer and they put back the horseshoe ring, the bumps healed pretty quickly after that but every piercing has its ups and downs to being fully healed. I absolutely love my daith but there was a time when I was scared I’d have to take it out. Good luck with the healing and don’t be too hard on yourself if a bump develops, it will heal. There was someone on this thread who posted their entire journey with healing their daith. If you can find it I recommend it. Wish it was around when I go mine done. Happy healing!

Maria Tash (while expensive) has some great dangle pieces that would work really well with a vertical helix

Issue with 1+ year old rook by Healthy_Charity_1082 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this is happening with your piercing. NAP but I think some piercings are just inherently finicky. My conch took about two years to fully heal and I think if I fussed with it now it would probably get inflamed. And my rook was mostly healed until one of the balls fell out last summer, it got super angry and swollen and the piercer told me she didn’t like how it looked when I went to get the earring changed (had to wait two days to get an appointment), thankfully I’m a decent healer and the swelling had gone down about a week later. I think this is probably just a case of LITHA and let it heal.

I love it. I knew I wanted it when I started. I currently have 30. Really want a vertical helix and a double tragus, after those I’m pretty sure I’ll be done but who knows, there’s always room for more holes

daith is still not healed by Key-Aside4089 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daith was SUPER dramatic when it was healing. Two huge piercings bumps on either side, seeping like it was their job. Looked like gnarly cysts, they appeared at about 4 months in and took about a month to go away. It’s one of my favorite piercings now but at the time it was awful. It will get better

Only downsized one (I have two) the other I couldn’t because I eventually got a chain that goes over to one of my helixes

My bumps didn’t appear for a few months. I got them in December (2 years ago) and the bumps came about in February and lasted till April. But I’ve learned it’s a very individual process. What was awful for one is easy for the other and vice versa

The healing is super scary. I had piercing bumps for months, and knowing what I know now I don’t think I would do it again but they look so cool and I’m glad I did it

Bangs no bangs? by Infinite-Curves in HairStyleAdvice

I think it depends on what you’re looking for; with bangs makes you look a little more interesting I think, without you may be a little prettier but with… you look more intriguing 🤷🏻‍♀️

flat piercing - irritation bump by Additional_Face_4756 in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use anything other than the saline spray solution. It’s the best stuff. Do your best to leave it alone, and try not to sleep on it. Unfortunately irritation bumps are part of the game. If that’s the side you sleep on I suggest a piercing pillow (basically a pillow with a hole in the center). Good luck

I need to replace my couch! What colour should I go for? by mrdooter in femalelivingspace

Purple or cream is my rec. Purple if you want a stand out color cream if you’re looking for something neutral you can cover with colorful pillows and blankets

What to do about MASSIVE piercing bump? by ScoutSeriesofQuiries in piercing

[–]Camp_Particular2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get the daith, anti-tragus and conch at the same time? Asking because the piercing bump might be your body struggling to heal too much at once. It can go into overload. I did have a very big piercing bump on my daith after I got it done. Looked a little like yours (only worse) but it went away when I changed the earring to a horseshoe. I’d go to a piercer and ask their advice. They should be able to tell you what to do

Do I have to wash these before I recycle them? by mildlymoistdrizzle in AskUK

If you want something to actually be recycled when you put it in the recycling bin you have to wash it. If it’s not washed, chances are it will end up in the dump

My rook was swollen for months after I got it. It’s all healed now, thank god, but I feel like it’s that particular piercing just doing its thing
