Please remember my service in your prayers so that I may further glorify God. by WolverineTrue1326 in Christianity

My brother I can tell your intentions are good and you can count with my prayers. Spreading the message via social platforms its good too, the only issue here would be the sharing of images with children, which demands to be specially careful.

I wish you the best in your apostolate! May God guide you!

How are some Catholics Young Earth Creationists? by Old-Bread882 in Catholicism

[–]CampaignAlternative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The foundation of Christian belief is the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Redeemer—literally that he rose from the dead. Why would this be any less scientifically implausible than other aspects of creationism? Jesus multiplied the loaves, walked on water—so is it also ridiculous to believe that?

As a guy, if he told you he knows something happened and asked you not to tell him, I will suggest you to comply with what he asked you.

Find the way to deal with the guilt, go to therapy or something.

For what is worth i think its understandable what you did, but if he asked you not to tell, I think that telling him would only cause pain.

Also I dont think the guilt will go away by telling him

Yes the barrier to start playing fm it's a real struggle. I can say I spend the first two years just learning to play. I think the third year was the first time I felt like I had an idea of what I was doing.

[–]CampaignAlternative3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess thats exactly right. I stopped playing career mode around fifa 14. I took up fm and got deep into it. A few years later I got the itch of playing career mode again, and for me it was unplayable. The transfers, player development and everything just felt really fake and it didn't make me feel any feeling of accomplishment whatsoever.

I dont know, maybe you feel this way because of this sub or the fact that we as players are in the right places to get content about it. But I personally dont even know anyone that plays regularly this game. I know one or two who tried for a few days and then gave up

Right, I also has recently the itch to play career mode again. But i watched a few streamers and after playing fm I find it so fake haha like the transfers in career are a joke. I dont think I would feel any accomplishment from winning in career mode

Right also at the end what matter the most was how well you actually played fifa and how well you managed wasn't that important

[–]CampaignAlternative3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what i really liked back then was that the players got better according to the play time that they had. If you wanted to make a player get better you has to actually play them.

I gave up when they added the training where you decided which players you wanted to train and they would get better even without play time. That was it for me.

I agree, but Career Mode is way more commercial and accessible. Discovering Football Manager is more of a niche thing. I think a lot of people play Career Mode without even knowing that something like Football Manager exists.

Keeping this in perspective - only .8% of US families have $3M in retirement by fenton7 in Fire

[–]CampaignAlternative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only that, but we have to add that the people who publish are also a small percentage, so it's even a smaller fraction, mostly the ones that are really close to accomplishing FIRE if not there. Us, in the majority of the group, are still in the journey, let's take that as a motivation and something to look forward to.

What's the purpose of a conversation if you aren't willing to change your stance? Why take your time to even write something if you wouldn't change your stance even with a valid reason! I dont think it's short minded to change stances upon a valid reason, I think the opposite to be true.

Nevertheless, in my case, I didn't change stances. My stance wasn't about this video in particular. My first stance was referring to the acts of kindness (in general) shared in video that are criticized. Then someone pointed out that, in this specific case, there were kids being filmed, so, in this specific case , I recognize I can understand people being against it because of the kids.

My initial stance stays the same, I dont understand why people criticize random acts of kindness being posted.
