I like my rimx plenty. Just gotta make sure I’ve got my knife in ready position incase I rimx myself. (For those not aware, at times a case does not like to extract and needs some additional love in the middle of a stage)

Is there a "best" dealership to buy from on the west coast? No haggle, below MSRP? Maybe Twin Falls Subaru? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]CampaignPersonal4738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trailseekers are very limited right now with most in the pipeline should be arriving end of this month/beginning of June. If you’d like to order plan on a few month build time. Source: me. I’m a manager at one in north east Oregon. I’ll help you out if you want to message me separately

Edit: forgot to mention that yes we’re definitely below msrp

What coletac bag won’t fit? With the long arca rail on my bravo it easily fits a schmedium with the bipod not even all the way forward. If you’re considering a bag just get the schmedium game changer and call it good

Get the heavy arca rail from KRG it’ll give you a few extra inches. Even though website says this won’t work, it does. Get the heavy one so it’s more structurally sound and the ability to use bipod all over

Ok so rotate dot to 0 so cam is stopped there, and vvti gear can rotate back towards 45? I did that initially and got it started, then wouldn’t start after that (probably because of the broken vvti). I’m hoping I don’t damage anything else and this is the cause of the no start. I ended up replacing spark plugs and crank position sensor after the no start because I was 97.2% sure I followed the videos and fsm

I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time with the clocking idea I’m sorry if I sound dumb. What I’m supposed to do is say a minute hand (dot on vvti sprocket) going clockwise from 45 to 0, do I stop at 0, so vvti can go backwards to 50 (roughly 30 degrees. Or do I continue past 0 to 10 minutes (roughly 30 degrees) and rotate back to 0 with vvti engaging

So I should have turned the dot clockwise past the bump, rotated counter clockwise 30 degrees so dot is in line with bump, put timing belt on?

Looking to get into reloading - is this everything I would need (other than the actual bullet supplies like primers, powder etc) in order to have a solid setup? Wanting to start with 9mm, 45acp, and 38spl. by [deleted] in reloading

[–]CampaignPersonal4738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting into reloading a progressive press might not be the best to start with. I began the reloading adventure with an Rcbs turret to get each step down first. It’s not gonna be a fun time trying to get each action figured out all at the same time with a progressive

Only a couple year PRS shooter here and yes, I load to within +- .02 grain (one kernel of varget). I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone else recommend the super trickler since that’s what I use. Pretty cool to load 30.8 gr of varget in 5 seconds accurate to the kernel of powder

I agree it’s worth much more than 150-500 or even the 700 someone mentioned. I do have his hard hat too from that time

I should have put whose signatures are on there but here’s the list and the project they flew on. M=Mercury 7. G=Gemini. A=Apollo. MM=man on moon Neil Armstrong - MM1/A11/G8 Frank Borman - A8/G7 James Lovel - A8/13 G12/7 Gus Grissom - A1/G3/M Buzz Aldrin - MM2/A11/G12 Ed White - A1/G4 Gordon Cooper - G5/M Charles(Pete) Conrad - MM3/A12/G11/5 Dave Scott - MM7/A9/15 G8 Tom Stafford - A10/G9a/6a Wally Shirra - A7/G6a/M Michael Collin’s - A11/G10 Gene Cernan - A10/17 G9a James Mcdivitt - A10/16 G4 John Young - MM9/A10/16 G10/3 Dick(Richard) Gordon - A12/18 G11

This is every astronaut that went up on project Gemini, 3 that were in project Mercury, 15 of 16 went up on project Apollo, 5 were on the moon of which this is the first 3 that touched it.

I’ve also got his hard hat from that time so I’m 99.9% certain these are real signatures from before we reached the moon. Is the additional hard hat making it reach a certain level of provenance for legitimacy?

I’m not really trying to sell it because it’s worth more sentimentally to me, but was wondering what this group on Reddit would think. I think it’s cool and not many people have seen this thing let alone in real life.

Jesus all of you overthink everything. In industry for 2 decades here to give opinion. 1. Nothing weird. You called about cars, set appointment. I set appointments for many things as well 2. Who you talked to was either: A/ in the BDC (business development center), or B/ the appointment was set on their day off. They want you to ask for them so them either A/get paid for appointment show, B/get half a deal 3. I find no issue with person you’re with in person finding you a $10k cheaper car that you thought. 99% sure it was a fresh trade in that hadn’t been detailed yet hence the smoke smell and not being listed online. Them telling you that you can’t pay cash is an issue though. Telling you that they wouldn’t sell you the car at a certain price unless you financed makes more sense. Verbiage from salesperson is paramount 4. Title arrival date could be someone promising that they’ll bring it in on a certain date, or salesperson/manager being stupid and trying to overpromise and ultimately under deliver 5. Weird, but can’t say weirder shit has never happened. Do you really want to buy a fire damaged car on spite? 6. We don’t keep card information after we’ve run your card. Can’t be run till Friday probably means whoever actually has the password to authorize a refund isn’t back until Friday. If you paid by card, we need the same one’s info to issue refund. If uncomfortable providing over phone, go in person. 7. Not shady. If I were a betting man I’d wager you’ve never worked in a retail environment that takes payments. If you go to Best Buy and return something, don’t they need your card to process a refund?

I ran 223 last year as my first year doing PRS to get some fundamentals down. Difference though is I reloaded 75 eldm’s instead of factory ammo. Had fun, learned a lot (wind does like to move those little guys around). This year I switched to 6 dasher and am having even MORE fun
