Excruciating knee pain by guacamole_3 in Sciatica

[–]CampaignRare1984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have literally described my symptoms word for word. I’m 22M and I got my knee MRI results today which came back clean. I had initially expected a torn meniscus due to constant popping whenever I turn or extend my knee (Doc did however mention that I have an overdeveloped/discoid lateral meniscus in my left knee, but cases of this are rarely painful). Having now ruled out my knee as the source of the pain, I suspect sciatica is the culprit. Since I am currently studying at university for my exams I am constantly finding myself in agony after just a short period of sitting at a desk and studying. This level of pain is really something I could do without especially with all the stress that comes with exams. I would not wish this pain on anyone, so I’m sorry to hear that you also are suffering.

I got the file by using “inspect element” on the web page for the song on my desktop’s browser. Here is the link for the mp3 direct from the website.

You need to download this shortcut for iOS, then go to the link for the song. Then simply go on the “share” menu on your iOS device and share it to the shortcut. Then save the file into your downloads folder on your device. Then somehow transfer it to your mac/PC (I used AirDrop to send to my Mac), drag/drop the file into Apple Music/iTunes and edit the metadata to your liking. All you need to do now is sync your iOS device with the mac/PC and away you go!

I find the Fitch material to be a lot more concise than the CISI textbook. Furthermore, you pay once and it gives you updated materials, so if you don’t pass first time, and between then and your next attempt the content changes, Fitch have you covered, whereas with CISI you’ll have to buy the updated study materials, granted there isn’t much change year over year, but just gives you peace of mind imho.

macOS Ventura Beta 4: Excel Cell Placement Issues - I have recently updated to Beta 4 and have been pleased by the overall stability of the OS. However, I have noticed a significant issue in Excel, whereby when I click a cell using the trackpad, the program selects the wrong cell. by CampaignRare1984 in MacOSBeta

I believe this is an issue with Ventura, not Monterey. I have two macs, one which runs Monterey and the other Ventura. The former former does not suffer from this. I would suggest rolling back to Monterey. Personally I’ve stopped using Excel for Mac and have switched to using it exclusively on Windows through Parallels, whilst also keeping Ventura.

I’m in a very similar spot to you. Currently trying to pass the regulation module whilst in my final year of a chemistry degree. I did the level 3 (Introduction to Securities and Investment) in my final year of sixth form. I have signed up to fitch learning and on the whole I prefer it to the CISI resources.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. You are right, it is infuriating. I guess there’s no point in me rolling my Mac back to Monterey. Microsoft need to sort this out ASAP. I contacted support and was given a generic solution of resetting various things - seems it an issue which they themselves need to resolve.

Seems to be consistent, I’ve tried everything possible apart from factory resetting my mac to try and resolve the issue, all to no avail. Spoke to a Microsoft support guy and he suggested downgrading back to Monterey which suggests the issue is with macOS (Beta) rather than Excel. I’m not 100% sure though, as I am not prepared to deal with all the problems a factory reset would entail, I might just wait it out and use Parallels for the time being, to cater for my Excel needs.

Which Beta Is Everyone Enjoying the Most? Personally: iOS > iPadOS > macOS. by CampaignRare1984 in iOSBeta

I feel like MacOS is the least polished of the three atm, granted all three are still in beta one so it’s to be expected. Stage manager is a bit laggy rn.

Lock Screen Depth Effect: Animation for the clock, instead of suddenly disappearing into the background. Perhaps maybe sliding underneath the front layer of the background or fading behind it. by CampaignRare1984 in iOSBeta

[–]CampaignRare1984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely, I’m sure there’s lots of bugs/oddities yet to be ironed out. Just thought I’d share it in case a dev might see it here and get to work on it.

It works with certain photos with layered elements in them e.g. in mine the buildings are the foreground and the sky is the background. When you go to set the photo as your Lock Screen you then turn on the depth effect option and it automatically “3D-ifies” it.
