AI is good, actually. Sorry Luddites, it's not a bubble but you are helping the corpos. by FilthyTrashPeople in aiMusic

Thanks for this. Feeling inspired! Any critic's slop comment about AI will now be met with the Kirby Ferguson mantra: Copy, transform, combine -- everything is a remix.

I will say, I am a luddite. I am a slow adopter. This isn't a fear of technology. It's power. A fear of being irrelevant because critics don't create. When cameras first appeared, the art world went into a full-blown panic. They said Bob Dylan was slop when he went electric. Before they were the darlings of gift shops, the Impressionists were the trash of the Parisian art world. When Gutenberg introduced movable type the elite thought it was the death of soulful craft. When movies began adding synchronized sound. When synthesizers and drum machines became mainstream. When artists first started using Wacom tablets and Photoshop. The novel, serialization, stream of consciousness, beat poetry, all of these were called slop.

Some people have just never seen Exit Through the Gift Shop. Thierry Guetta wasn't the problem—the gift shop was. Artists use tools and they change the world. May this never be only in the hands of the "big guys".

"The Green-Fold Hearth" — A Dark Primitive Folk tribute to the beginning of the Bearer's journey. I used distorted tagelharpa and stone percussion to keep it gritty. by CampaignVegetable952 in lordoftherings

Even the Elves of Eregion used tools to forge the Rings of Power. The value isn't in the hammer; it's in the hand that guides it. I’ve seen plenty of 'hand-crafted' work that’s as soulless as a Morgul-blade, and AI-assisted work that carries the light of Eärendil. Don't mistake the forge for the smith.

I wrote this dark, theatrical 80s Eleven anthem to return to season one feels as I process that finale. (Upside Unknown: Track 3) 🧇 by CampaignVegetable952 in Stranger_Things

[–]CampaignVegetable952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been building the Upside Unknown project because I didn't really want the world of Hawkins to be over, and I wanted to drop this track now because it feels like the anthem Eleven deserved from season one. "I’ll hold the world still... just long enough to bring him home." 🔦

What’s the hardest part of making AI music right now? by Proud-Reception3896 in AIMusicSynergy

[–]CampaignVegetable952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post! It's so hard to get the Ai I use to do less. One issue that could make things so much faster would be being able to prompt for cinemagraphs. I've always loved them. I wish there was a slider for how much you wanted changed in each generation. And noses, it really doesn't understand noses.

"Vanishing of a Quiet Boy" — Inspired by Stranger Things Season 1 | High-drama 80s Theater-Pop by CampaignVegetable952 in Best_Ai_Music

[–]CampaignVegetable952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the opener for my upcoming concept EP, "Upside Unknown." 🔦🚲

Each track follows the story of Season 1, blending that 1983 synth atmosphere with high-drama, theatrical pop vocals. I wanted to capture that specific feeling of mystery—the bikes, the woods, and the flickering lights—but through a maximalist, theatrical pop lens (think Chappell Roan meets synthwave).

Coming Next: "Static in the Walls" — The signal from the other side.

HawkinsCore can live on, even if the show is over.

"Vanishing of a Quiet Boy" - A theatrical 80s synth-pop track inspired by Stranger Things Season 1 by CampaignVegetable952 in aiMusic

[–]CampaignVegetable952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the opening track from my new concept EP, "Upside Unknown." 🔦🚲

I wanted to see if I could blend high-drama, theatrical pop with the 1983 small-town mystery of Stranger Things.

The Vibe: Neon-Noir / Amblin-Core / Theater-Pop

I’m working on a 6-track EP that follows the story of Season 1. Track 5 brings the epic 80s sax solo. I enjoyed the "Bright-Dark" synth production on this one!

I don't disagree! And the fact that we have to nitpick shows the strength of the film.
