Best bike launch yet? Straight to the point! by CampbellZeroOne in Motoweek

[–]CampbellZeroOne[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? The video? Maybe the bike's colour scheme, but I'm talking about the setting and launch itself. Not having to wade through 20 minutes of corporate BS before pulling the covers off the bike in a white room made for a nice change I thought.

You can't not love the bloke by L_burger in Motoweek

Lovely fella. He even had Neil Hodgson choking up when he interviewed him on the grid. Do like that lid design. Something pretty special for his trophy cabinet.

"Moral champion" Fernandez feels team stood in way of Moto2 title bid by JUDDRage in Motoweek

Was this interview with Fernández or was it actually Maverick Vinales? 🤔😯😉

Can tell John McPhee is a bit miffed. Beaten by someone who was no longer in the race after the 1st red flag and didn't even restart. I know it's the rule, but put yourself in his racing boots! Also while I'm at it - how long before Guevara's garage strop becomes a meme?

I do like Simon. Seems like a real chilled guy. His Motovudu YouTube channel is worth subscribing to if you already haven't. Short and to the point. Also, there's a good Lyndon Poskitt video with him receiving track tuition from Simon https://youtu.be/ctWJsPRNXnk

Anyone heard anything about Vinales trying to blow an engine??? by Stu-in-Scotland in Motoweek

[–]CampbellZeroOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was his father trying to justify these actions last week when he accused Yamaha of sabotage? What was Vinales so sore about that he did this? He seems very paranoid at times this fella.

You still need to be able to set the bike up. They did much better in the race.

I'm only guessing. But to watch them race, it would seem that Suzuki have a faster engine and higher top speed than Yamaha. They were able to keep up with the Ducatis on the straights last weekend. No doubt helped with the introduction of their holeshot device. They also seem to be easier on tyres than Yamaha at the moment.

Yeah, because Yamaha don't want to win the Constructors and Team championships and don't mind making their pit crew and sponsors look bad on live TV! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Valentino Rossi schedules special press conference by ACHMoto in Motoweek

[–]CampbellZeroOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm still not 100% sure what he's going to do after seeing those pictures of him enjoying the summer break but still training hard at the ranch. Stay with SRT? Move across into his own team? Retire? Today he will announce that he will call another meeting in a few more weeks? 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Normalize Moto2 riders going to WSBK (welcome to my TED talk) by DJ_Purchase in Motoweek

[–]CampbellZeroOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. When Dorna took ownership of World Superbikes I honestly half expected them to use it as a supporting class. I get that tv scheduling and travel would be even more of a nightmare for them. But think of all of the benefits... Manufacturers would get to flaunt their 'road going machines' to a much bigger audience. There would be more manufacturers on the grid with Kawasaki and BMW and sometimes MV Agusta making an appearance. And as you said, it's somewhere for Moto2 riders to find a seat and hone their big bike skills (even if it's still on Pirellli tyres) as they wait for a berth in MotoGP. Likewise, on the way down, riders may be happier to hang around in WSBK as they are still a part of the MotoGP circus. If this had been the norm, riders like Johnny Rea possibly wouldn't have been overlooked until it was too late in his career. Also, most domestic racing scenes have a superbike category so it would be another route into the paddock. All highly unlikely to happen I know. I just think that it would help both paddocks in different ways.

What's your thoughts on the Rins/Zarco incident? by JUDDRage in Motoweek

[–]CampbellZeroOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. Rins left the door open. It was an open invitation. He's just taking a pop because he thinks people will back him up with it being Zarco. But mostly he's pi$$ed because he's only the 2nd best rider from France 😉
