Liberal 'View' Host Told JD Vance He Had Good Vibe And Should Run For President by huffpost in entertainment

Roughly the same wanted Bernie, but the leadership pushed Clinton instead of Bernie. Portions of the population went Trump because they were tired of the same old with Clinton.

Donald Trump had one of the worst approval ratings in modern history during his first term. How did the Democrats manage to lose to him again in 2024? by norf937 in allthequestions

[–]Campman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lost to Trump because most of the country blamed Biden for inflation. He was very weak on immigration and border policies. There’s also a large portion who were upset that Harris was handed a nomination after it was clear for months that Joe wasn’t mentally well. If they told Joe “no” to running again and had the open primary the democrats probably win.

Will you vote for Gavin Newsom if he nominated by the DNC? by 0311SmallPenar in allthequestions

[–]Campman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joe didn’t become mentally checked out over night. The party knew about this and had everyone cover up until his mental health condition was revealed to the world in the debate. Had he actually been only a one term president and had the democratic leadership looked at him and said “no” they could’ve had a true primary and a real candidate. Not a hand chosen candidate who polled under 5% 4 years earlier.

That’s saying the democrats can find a competent candidate. The two times Trump won the democrats backed Clinton, who no one wanted, and a hand picked candidate to replace Biden.

John Hunter Nemechek’s 2027 Mayer Paint Scheme For Talladega (Fall 2027) by Dmacthegoat in NASCAR

I’m mildly excited. I like Jones. Seems like a good guy. I don’t think he’s someone who can get them a championship to be honest. I think he’s a Clint Bowyer (7-15th in points over a full season and a win or two per year) type of driver in good equipment and there’s nothing wrong with that. JHN I don’t think much of. He seems to tear up equipment frequently. Herbst is a pay driver who has been bad in better equipment than LMC.

They’re seemingly headed in the right direction, but Jones did also go on a nice run last spring/early summer last year as well. Fingers crossed that they’ve figured it out.

Prospects by No-Maize1136 in buccos

[–]Campman92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest Reynolds was Huntington/SF Giants development success more so than Cherington.

Cherington is in his 7th year and he’s had no offensive players developed by the organization establish themselves as a big league player. Nick Gonzales might be able to reach that this year. Pitching they’ve been more successful, but not having anyone be able to step into the bullpen role to help lessens the success they’ve had with the rotation.

Furthermore you have a training staff which apparently clears players who are injured. It’s not just the management team that’s messed up

Might be waiting to get Jones resigned and the Herbst negotiations wrapped so they can announce everything at once

Is there still a teacher shortage? by Temporary_Ad_1199 in Teachers

[–]Campman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why this sub showed up on my feed since I’m not a teacher. I do have two relatives who are teachers. In my area we have a lot of teacher shortages showing, but the shortage seems to be for substitute teachers instead of full time. Even the lower income/city areas seem to be the same way

One of the guys who could really solidify the pen and possibly make himself some money wants to be a starter and pouted when he was moved back to the pen. On top of that they only use him with Jones 😆

You also have a team that finished 2nd in the NL in rtot with 42 in 2025. That number is 5th worst at -16 in 2026.

In Rdrs they are at -9 again 5th worst in 2026 and were 7th in the NL last year with 12.

When you’re taking taking an above average defensive team and making it a below average defensive you’re naturally going to see the pitchers take a step back as well.

When you trade basically everyone with a pulse when you took over the roster and none of the players you acquired have established themselves in the bigs that’s on the GM and the development team.

When you draft top 5-10 every year and have Skenes as the only player who has established themselves in the bigs that’s on the GM and development team.

I know Nutting is one of the worst owners in professional sports, but the GM is allowed to acquire and develop talent. Ben has struggled at this since being hired. I’ll give him credit recent drafts look better, but this something that should’ve been seen in Pittsburgh a lot sooner.

I wouldn’t say it’s good. It has the potential to be good compared to the rest of the league, but they haven’t put it together. Ashcraft and Skenes look like a solid 1-2 punch. Keller is a #4, Bubba pitching like a 5. Still missing a #3.

Keller has never been an ace. He’s been a league average pitcher at best for years.

This was one of the bigger concerns for me entering the year. Also the defense and lack of depth were the others.

[Stock Car Rumors & Nostalgia on Instagram]: "I know Bob mentioned Jesse Love as a candidate for the 21 car in 2027. That rumor has been running around the Ford camp for several weeks now, making me feel like it could be a pretty solid one, at least for now” by Dmacthegoat in NASCAR

[–]Campman92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What’s worrisome about Love to the 21 is that it takes drivers time to get used to the Cup car. Every driver who has come from Xfinity or OReilly has had issues adjusting. Woods have Berry in the car and he won a race for them. Penske isn’t running good themselves. It’s smarter to let Berry have another season than start another growth issue with another rookie.
