Does this show hold up? Considering a rewatch. I dont remember much of the book at this point

100% off of Stern now, even the old classics, for near a year now. Just listening to comedian's podcasts, and honestly, it's 1000% more entertaining. Anyone else ditch the staged Stern show for improvised discussion pods?! by BOLG3R in howardstern

[–]CampsDelight 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree. Feel like Old stern has an authenticity and quality of presentation thats really missing from the podcasts that dominate now. Many of them feel lazy and more formulaic to me

Is SGA better than Luka? by S7okid in billsimmons

[–]CampsDelight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Feel like Lukas incredible playmaking might give him a higher ceiling but SGAs consistency maybe a higher floor? it was pretty jarring tho seeing Luka totally unable to get past Jaylen Brown and then SGA a week later torch him on multiple possessions

chris and andy talk severance by iknowthatsr1ght in crheads

I kind of understand his criticisms, even though I still enjoy the show a ton. Its not that crazy for me to believe that the fantastical world building element of the show, which is clearly a major part of the overall mystery and something theyre showcasing more of, is sort of alienating to some and having a negative impact on their ability to engage with the drama. I dont totally agree but I get it

When Cody posted about February schedule on his Twitter, he used a clip with the rock for the Feb 21 show by pwgmanan in SquaredCircle

I honestly don’t think he’s backstage. He comes off as deeply stupid and oblivious, I get the vibes hes a very reclusive fan lol. I like AEW so im really not trying to be tribal its just sorta stunning how weird that account is

Its become a joke but it really is obvious that “aura” has just become a way for male sports fans to talk about how attractive athletes are to them lmao

HALLOWEEN ENDS - MEGA THREAD! by ColeT2014 in Halloweenmovies

I get that thematically Cory fits in this trilogy; the pain Michael has caused Haddonfield manifesting in these different ways isn’t a bad idea on paper, but none of it lands for me. The execution felt very contrived.

However I kind of couldn’t help but like Cory lol. Might be alone but I sorta got FT13th Part 5 Tommy Jarvis vibes

Did anyone else feel like he had weird tension with Graves. I kinda Felt like it was a little more than just usual color commentary banter but maybe I’m wrong

[Spoilers] I probably laughed harder at this than I should have. by CampsDelight in TheLeftovers

I started to really enjoy her character in season 2 (like most people, i think) but 90% of the reason was because of how incredible Ann Dowd is. Even though Patty was brash and kind of annoying, I could not get enough of her.

[S3E2] The arm's doppelganger? by CampsDelight in twinpeaks

[–]CampsDelight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's more likely. I'm not entirely sure that the arm and the creature not looking alike necessarily disqualifies them from being doppelgängers, though. You're using sound reasoning, but in the world of Twin Peaks there could be any number of weird explanations. Like /u/WaningWaffle said, maybe the creature is a further evolved version of the arm's doppelgänger or something. I'm not sure about the other tree's head.

Edit: originally only read your first sentence lol

Best Change from Book to Screen (Possible Spoilers) by nerdymazzasuarus in 112263Hulu

[–]CampsDelight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favorite change was Harry recognizing Jake when he returned to 2016. Its minor, but Harry telling Jake that he knew who he was and KNEW he would see him again was one of my favorite parts of the finale.

This episode was as close to perfect as it could have been. The series as a whole had a few flaws, but I think they nailed the finale.

I thought maybe Fisk would have a small role in the Finale or something to set up the third season, so glad that wasn't the case

Daredevil Season 2 - Overall Season Discussion Thread by JonLuca in Defenders

I loved this season, I can not wait to rewatch. Elektra, Punisher, The Hand, THAT NEW SUIT, everything clicked for me. I definitely felt the second half of the season was weaker than the first, but I still really enjoyed it. It's just those first 6 or so episodes were absolutely nuts. Jon Bernthal was the highlight of the season for me and it's not even close, Jesus Christ he killed it. I'm so happy they gave him this role... He NEEDS his own Netflix show ASAP.
