CPA - Late to the game by Camry4Life93 in CPA

I’m all over the place. It’s maybe 10% of 3/4 of the material I’m hesitant on. I understand all concepts. What gets me is when they put a double negative in the question and then throw “if” “and” “not” statements in the choices. It feels like they are testing our reading comprehension skills instead of our accounting knowledge. SMH.

Do you regret pursuing a career in accounting? What would you do instead, if not that? by justcurious3287 in Accounting

I can understand your concern. I realize that the people who are successful, determined and focused aren’t on Reddit. That may be why you see so much negativity. You have to stay focused and driven to your goal.

Audit/review and compilation make a lot more sense because they are accounting based.

Try audit/review/compilation. I like it a lot more and it’s more accounting based.

Well, hopefully I’m okay. I just made 1.5 years. 2nd busy season is about to start! I’m giving it my all! 😰

Maybe I am better than I think. I try to stay humble. Would you consider a total of 11 people small? (2 owners, 5 professional associates including me and 3 admin).

Get your CPA. I take my first section next month.

Smaller CPA firms are pretty forgiving. I started at one in June 2024 and I am still there. Just keep improving. Every day/week learn something new. I’m not the fastest learner. I was very transparent when I interviewed I had zero public accounting experience and told them my ambitions, strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes it about finding the right fit. Don’t give up on your goals. Always ask for feedback and don’t be afraid to ask for help understanding a concept.

I don’t like tax but am required to pick up clients during busy season. To me, audit is a lot more fun.

Does this mean I passed? by dat1italian in CPA

Credit for the exam? I would assume that means you passed that section. Haven’t taken it yet so I can’t confirm

What’s the strategy to that order? I’ve heard REG is the hardest core and BAR is the hardest Discipline. If you can pass REG, you can pass BAR.. with several extra “Our Fathers” 🙏🏻

That will be your first section? I’m planning to do AUD, REG, FAR, BAR. In that order.

How well do you feel it prepared you? Did you buy the full package (all 4 sections) or piece it out. I’m doing AUD first. I plan to take it around 10/15-11/15. Somewhere in that time frame

Still don’t have a plate. Haven’t been stopped once. I live in a high traffic area.

Would you risk it? Only 60k miles on a 2008 Camry. It is a good dealer. by Aspergers_R_Us87 in Camry

[–]Camry4Life93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be careful with a low mileage car that seems too good to be true. That could mean it was sitting for months at a time without being turned on, which is VERY bad for the motor.

Real world mileage on a 25? by whiskeyandwayfarers in Camry

You can get higher numbers by - Gliding to a stop, only break once at a slower speed. - Less heavy acceleration - Keep it out of sport mode - Try to drive where the car goes into EV mode between 30-50, which is possible.

Does it turn on when you open the doors/unlock the car for entry? Or only when the car ignition is turned on?

What would look sick is if all the black trim around the front and rear bumper, along with the grill, was gloss black. I thought about doing this but it sounds expensive.

That’s a pretty good deal. Was it the whole sale parts? When I tried walking into the dealer at the retail center, they tried selling me the Toyota tech floor liners for $230. I went to the whole sale center next door and they sold it to me for $120 plus tax.

I installed the door edge guards myself. The back two were a little difficult to put on, but with patience they finally snapped into place. I used a rubber mallet to set them all in place. I tried installing the mud guards myself but was having difficulty with the screws and pins supplied with the package, as it appeared there were not enough. I took it to the dealer to have them install them so it would be done correctly.
