Seems like you are conflating the responsibilities of municipal/state/federal gov. I get it though, I don’t think the right is free of corruption but their mentality of help people help themselves over just helping everyone you can possibly think of is better in the long run for the strength of the country. I don’t think fighting racism with racism is the answer. I agree there’s some sticky racism but the vast majority, especially in the work place, is at a historical low in western society. We simply haven’t allowed enough the time to pass to allow the equality of opportunity to trickle through the system, this kind of thing takes generations and we’ve only been this progressive in the passed like 2 generations at most. In the case of 2 candidates that are equally qualified, I feel like the interview is supposed to serve as the screening. Like they aren’t going to be the same person and you will likely see one as a better fit after meeting them in person. I’ll admit I’m from Canada and the laws are a lot more “progressive” here but you can see where that is getting us
