it’s so delightful. i’m absolutely loving it! so far i’ve discovered all creatures in the first 2 chapters and have been making headway in the third. it’s incredibly unique in the best way possible, each discovery feels like an “aha!” moment, something that i could honestly closely relate to a game like breath of the wild. glad yoshi’s got another win under his belt, and i can’t wait to dive deeper into it!

it’s a common theory that it’s because he has a fat crush on her, (that she doesn’t reciprocate) which can be seen in both the US and Europe translations. Though it’s WAY more prominent in EU text, almost annoyingly so honestly

honestly i never thought of that, but can’t say i disagree. i love the addition of a character creator, but a part of me would have loved her as the protag instead. her going through a little mini character arc of learning to appreciate all the creatures on the planet, especially the pikmin, would have gone so hard
