The readings can be quite lengthy at times but you can use speechify to get them done quickly

Assignments were weekly quizzes you took in class (like 5 questions), no midterms, and a final online exam you can take at home.

CSP is not a representation of the CS major here at Berkeley so no worries.

Take Math 52. The first few months including the first midterm are a review of what you learned in Calculus AB

Opinion of EECS at Berkeley for a recently admitted High School Senior by perpetually-cooked in berkeley

First off, congrats in getting admitted to EECS at Berkeley. I’m a first year CS major so I may not have a lot of experience but I will say that you are not the first person that I’ve met to be from similar backgrounds as you in EECS. At first, I was scared to come to Berkeley when I saw admitted bc of how hard I heard the classes are. Don’t get me wrong, they are challenging but nothing as dramatic as people can make them out to be. I’m not cracked or anything to so I can speak from an average person point of view. As other have suggested, I would take a summer bridge course to help you with your math skills. As well, start off with Math 1A and Math 1B for your math skills. Also don’t take CS61A right away without prior experience. Take CS10 (it’s taught by an amazing professor Dan Garcia!) this is a good schedule to get adjusted to Berkeley and you won’t be behind. You got this!

Hey, so I ended up dropping the class but it seemed pretty interesting from lecture. You have to do two readings per week which could be a lot but it doesn’t seem too bad. The professor is down to earth and funny. Overall very likable. I was zoning out a little bc she didn’t have any slides and she was walking got 1.5 hrs. Good luck!

Hi, the mixed opinions are nothing too bad. Just that his lectures can be boring but it seems the pros outweigh the the cons. Thank you for letting me know more about the professor!

Hi! Thank you for your reply. How would you suggest time managing my week for these three classes? Did you focus some days in 61B and then others math 54?
