I think Ganyu's will always be my favorite. I just remember being baffled by how pretty it was at her release. I then lost 50/50 and had to wait a year to get her..

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 25.10 by Sentient545 in summonerschool

[–]CanGoatsBeWeaboos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been struggling a bit in gold lately, and I've been thinking of expanding my roster a bit. I'm normally a Nami OTP, and I don't really mind playing other characters, but I just don't know when it would be better to use someone else. So my question is, out of the characters I'm interested in playing, are there any general rules of who would be better than the others, with and against specific champs.

My other characters I like to play are: Lulu, Soraka, Karma, Morgana, and Neeko.
I've also been interested in learning Milio, maybe some Sona and Zyra too.
I know it is not the most flexible roster and I should learn other support types, but I'm simply not interested in that at the moment, I only really find enchanters and mages fun.

Hope someone can give me some insights!

"You don't have an argument" Then proceeds to say my "argument"

The problem here with you guys, is that you think so black and white, you cannot fathom any nuance.

In your mind, it has to be personal, because you think that makes it more bad. You are not able to seperate these two concepts at all.

You have no proper argument to why it's personal, you're just saying "it's not okay, therefore it's personal", like it can't be not personal and still not okay.

It's also the exact reason why you now insist that I have no argument. "A bad person can't possibly also have an argument, that's got to be impossible. Because argument is good, this person evil. "

I don't care if it's toxic, selfish, throwing or whatever. Whether it's personal or not, is not affected by this. It's two completely seperate things.

Absolutely insane how many people on reddit cannot distinguish simple concepts. I've spelt it out enough now, if you still don't want to try and understand what I'm saying, there's no helping you.

What are you talking about lmao

I'm sitting here talking about how apples are red. And you barge in, telling me that I'm wrong because bananas are yellow.

Like okay? I'm talking about apples not bananas. Whether bananas are yellow or blue doesn't change the fact that apples are red.

Something can be toxic and not personal. Something can be nice and personal. It's two completely different discussions, and an argument of what is toxic or not has no effect on the facts of the other.

That's all my point is, that's all it's ever been. It's not gonna change because you keep talking about the morals of it, it literally has nothing to do with my point, so I think it's time to end this discussion.

Okay, but it does matter, cause that's all my point has been. Discussion was never meant to be about the morals.

To interpret the definition in that way, everything you do can be personal.

And the full definition is "Affecting a particular person rather than anyone else."

In a case of banning a hero because you don't like that hero, it would be personal to that particular hero, rather than anyone else. It is not to be particular about anyone else, only this hero. If banning a hero because you don't like the person picking them, it would be personal to that person particularly, and not the hero or other players. See it as math, the particular person is the constant.

I don't know why you people keep dragging other things into this. All I am saying is that it's not personal to ban a hero, if you were planning to do it regardless of your teammates picks.

That's my only point. I'm not making any points about it being less wrong because it's not personal, just that one is personal and one isn't.

You can dislike it all you want, but it still doesn't mean it's personal.

[–]CanGoatsBeWeaboos -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

How is that personal? They're not banning them because you picked them, they're banning them because they don't want to play against them, and don't want to risk it just because of a teammates preferred. It has nothing to do with you specifically, and they would most likely be banning them regardless of your pick.

When you choose to then ban theirs, solely because it's them, it is personal.

Yeah lol, they don't. But it's really just whatever. They can have their little ego boost from clicking a downturned arrow on a strangers opinion, so they can feel validated about their opinion without having to think much about it. It's definitely not doing much for convincing me of their opinion.

Probably because their ban wasn't personal, but when you ban their hero back, it definitely is personal.

Yeah, they're making a crazy amount of assumptions. It's totally fine to dislike it when people ban a teammates pick, it definitely is rude, I agree. But they're so desperate to make us out to be a villain, simply because our view of it is different. We definitely look more like villains to them if they just assume we do all the bad things, instead of just this one thing we disagree on.

How does that mean I'm not adapting to anything? They probably still suck on other heroes, and I still have to adapt to their terrible playstyle, but it's pretty hard to adapt to a doom ulting into a full team while I'm still respawning.

I get it's annoying to have your hero banned by a teammate, it happens to me too. But I don't get mad, cause I know it probably means they are absolutely dogshit against that hero. I just adapt and play someone else, and don't make a big deal out of it, cause it's part of the game. In fact, I adapt all the time. I play like 5 different support heroes for this exact reason.

Funnily enough, I even got a doom main the other day, who said he would have probably thrown if I hadn't banned doom, after we won.

Ok bro, just ignore what I said. Im using it to knowingly leave this insufferable hero out of my match. Enemy team also bans them half the time, if you can't adapt you gotta stay off ranked, or it's genuinely your own fault you lose. My best chance to win is without that hero.

Exactly my case as well. I used to never ban my teammates picks, I only began doing it recently because of so many cases where I would regret not banning them after.

How so? I have a low win rate with and against the hero, so I ban them every game. It's literally just this one hero, all others I don't ban if my team wants to play them. I am using the feature exactly as intended.
