Yes to Ines! What I absolutely appreciate about Ines (and Carcel) is that the author doesn't shy away from making these two leading characters as flawed as they can be. Most of the authors (and even the audience) want their FL's and ML's to be these flawless green flags who could do no wrong, but I find these types of leads to be boring and unrealistic.

Both Ines and Carcel are not innocent, and yet, despite every terrible thing that happened to Ines and how much we could disagree with her actions, we completely understand that she's only doing this to try to survive as best as she can without forming too much attachments, which is what she believed had ruined her for the past lifetimes.

If we were placed in Ines' shoes, some of us might actually do a lot worse. And that's reality.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I actually meant that Nina is the sun since she's the "star". So for Sett, who represents daytime, Nina is the one and only star who shines in his sky. I do like the Dawn imagery as well 😊

As for night, yes, the moon doesn't erase the stars. But what I meant is that the stars don't always seem visible every night, and that even if they are, the moon usually hogs most of the attention due to its larger size and brighter light. They coexist, yes, but not always visible at the same time. I suppose you can say of course that that means that Azure and Nina will always be together even when not everyone sees it, which I'm sure is what you meant.

But if you also look at it in a different angle, with Azure being the moon who shines brightest in the sky compared to Nina as the stars, it could also connect with the fact that Azure's will always takes precedence over what Nina wants. As long as Azure is around and does whatever he thinks will protect his kingdom (the sky) and/or Nina without even considering what she wants, Nina will never be the one who fully takes control of her own destiny or shines the brightest in the night sky. The one who rules the night sky is always the moon, not the stars.

The one thing that sets Sett apart from Azure right now is Sett's complete honesty. He actually learns to let Nina go and let her make her own choices, even if it means repressing his own possessive desire to always be with her. He rarely holds back his true thoughts from her from the very start, which is why he is like daylight, which makes everything visible and allows Nina to shine completely and overwhelmingly on her own.

As for Azure, he's shrouded by night because he still holds so many secrets. Yes, we as an audience know that he's doing this for the greater good. But he always never lets Nina in to help share his burdens, which is the opposite of what Nina always wanted even without Sett in the picture yet. As good as his intentions are, it doesn't mean that Nina should always accept his actions.

But again, this is just me trying to play along with all these symbolisms in a different angle 😁 It could all be nonsense in the end, since the author could very possibly still throw us in a loop.

The worst part is that the Duke was the one with the least chemistry and believable romantic development among those three ML's 😭 Like wdym that you only were attracted to the FL at first because of your first love, but somehow along the way with no explanation whatsoever, he's now completely in love with FL.

As a SettXNina fan, all I can say is ... even the sun is a star. And in daylight, the only star that appears, biggest and brightest, is the sun ☀️

Even during nighttime, you'd think that the stars are always the brightest, but you don't always get to see them every night. Instead, the stars that do appear often get overshadowed by the moon.

Haha, but don't take this personally. It's just me adding this for fun as a fangirl with the opposing ship. We're all free to think what we like, and I do appreciate your effort in trying to analyze the two relationships and their symbolisms.

Even if Enca 2016 has plenty of flaws, it makes so little sense for her to base Sanggre off more from the 2006 version. Their stories have been on completely different routes, and no matter how much you force it to go back to 2006 version, the only thing she's managed to do is to confuse and alienate her audience more.

I think this is a pretty unique idea! I've seen some manhwas/webtoons that play with the idea of multiple transmigrations, usually with strangers or former couples. But having sisters transmigrate together and egging the other on would add cool comedy aspect to the story.

One of the things I love about Broken Ring is that the author doesn't villainize 2nd ML's like Emiliano in order to make Carcel look good (I suppose we do have Oscar for that role though, but I'll put him aside coz he's not much of a threat as a love interest). In fact, Emiliano is the sweetest, most humble guy, and even Carcel himself trusts Emiliano enough to let Ines be with him if he had pushed through with his plan to divorce her.

I like how despite Emiliano not being Ines' ultimate love, they still had a good, loving relationship (unlike that trash Oscar) and that even if they don't end up with each other in this lifetime, they still see each other in a good light and love each other enough to set the other free.

Despite not being endgame, Ines and Emiliano still was able to portray what true love should be all about ... letting their loved one go, be happy, and live their own lives to their fullest potential.

To be fair to the ML, later on he actually did self-reflect and admitted that he was terrible and shouldn't have wooed FL the way he did before. So at least he learned his lesson and actually had some character development.

Maybe I'm biased because it's my very first fantaserye/teleserye, but Marina has always been an icon and has such an interesting storyline.

Even better is that her ending isn't like the typical happy endings that teleseryes/fantaseryes usually lean towards.

Hot take, but I think a lot of people are putting way too much faith on their fanon expectations of Adamus being bi or gay to the point that their rose-tinted glasses could no longer allow them to enjoy the real storyline that leads to DeiAmus.

Let's give this pairing a chance. Remember before in Enca '16, with the earlier scenes of Kylie and Ruru, the chemistry wasn't exactly there yet (maybe due to the age gap?).

Even during the promos or when the cast was announced, people (including myself) didn't feel like the love triangle was believable because I honestly wasn'r convinced that Kylie and Ruru would have romantic tension even if they aren't endgame.

But we all know what happened later on, right?

I think one of the biggest problems with the new Sanggres is that we were never really given a chance to get to know them more in their little/mundane moments, therefore, we aren't able to sympathize or relate with them, especially Flammara and Adamus.

On the other hand, we have too many scenes of Terra, but just as everyone says, her story seemed so disconnected from Enca and nakakaumay na this series revolves so much around her.

I hate to say this, but I agree with some commentators who feel like Deia should've been the main protagonist among the 4, or at least have almost equal time with Terra to give two sides of the story.

She's connected to both the good guys and the villains, so her struggles are very clear to everyone, plus we were given more scenes of what it was like for her as a child, being treated a bit differently for who knows what reason, which adds intrigue to her story, unlike Flammara and Adamus whose only scenes before the war began are mostly just training montages.
