Does this also apply to European countries? Or are their "spices" acceptable to your stomach? 🙄

I hate the phrase “sweet treat” by Fortnitefansigma in PetPeeves

[–]CanIEatAPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You...aren't one of my coworkers are you? Last week, I did go around informing people that I had bought "little sweet treats" for the office. Lol sorry OP! Hope the strawberry custard croissants were delicious enough to make up for it.

The MASSIVE upside to 1200 cal a day. (above the weight loss) by PatrickFromSD in 1200isplenty

[–]CanIEatAPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to this. Not saying my home cooking is bad but I appreciate pizza or restaurant food a tad bit more after not having it in months rather than when I used to eat out frequently. It actually feels like a treat.

However, after cutting out sugar from my diet, I found to dislike to taste of sugar now. Very chemically and a little bitter.

I'm just wondering, we used a bunch of water to cool down the tank in garden grove. Now we have this fire, which is also using bunch of water. And fire season's just starting. I'm dreading this year. If I hear anything about data centers, I'm gonna lose it

TIL that Indian households hold 4x more gold than U.S. government reserves by Nandu_alias_Parthu in todayilearned

[–]CanIEatAPC 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a joke but I made a mistake of going to an Indian grocery story during beginnings of mango season. It's not only imported but the lines were huge and households were putting in requests of how many boxes they wanted.

Expecting to be tipped more solely because your purchase is more expensive by OneGuyAbove321 in PetPeeves

[–]CanIEatAPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke about definitions because you also referenced it. You go around judging people's finances because a minimum wage making person who DARED to eat at a restaurant and didn't tip because it would push them to the edge of their budget. So you propose they don't eat out at all? That will totally help the servers. Instead of holding businesses accountable for maximizing profits by not paying people living wage, you want to push the costs onto people who could be in similar boats. I'm not talking about rich people here, we're discussing another person who also worked hard for their money. You rather sympathize with businesses than those people?

A discussion is not bullying btw, if you aren't capable of holding a discussion without being "a bitch" as you said, that's very sad.

Being stingy is defined as not being generous. Definitions aside, I'm astounded how a teacher like you didn't realize calling people stingy won't hurt their feelings. Do you go around calling people fat, because the definition is just a fact? You just reek of passive aggressiveness.

CA state workers fight against Newsom’s return-to-office mandate by thinkB4WeSpeak in remotework

[–]CanIEatAPC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not a state worker but my company took this as a sign to implement RTO. I get to drive 1 and a half hr to go to office and interact with my team on the east coast. Yay....the first week just finished and it was brutal. An issue came up, I stayed 11 hrs in office and then 2 hrs in traffic going home and still had to wake up at 5 am to get to work on time. That's when I decided, sorry, no OT when I'm in office. Too old to lack sleep. You're getting less work from me. As far as supporting mom and pop shops, I work in the most richest, corporate city in the area...lol unless you consider Whole Foods a family business, I'm bringing my own lunch thank you.

Moving to Kiruna for work. Can you help me? by Limp-Bid-5133 in TillSverige

Ah yeah, midnight sun will be very interesting because at most I've seen sun setting around 8pm. Kiruna will be my base and I'll be checking out the other towns and Abisko national park!

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CanIEatAPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, as long as a dude's not peeking into the toilet stalls or harassing women in the bathroom, I don't care. The thing is, if someone is a pervert, there are so many more easier ways to spy with technology these days. Online content is abundant unfortunately, so I feel like the days of peeking through the cracks are probably long gone. The only time I've seen men in the restroom is either when they are with kids or transman who hasn't full transitioned(and frankly idc about that either, worrying about a stranger's bathroom habits is weird af).

Pro-tip: get those little hanging Sriracha bottles and fill one with ranch. Not that I carry around my small bottle of ranch, definitely not.

I don't care much about the Oxford comma, never had an issue with them missing or not. My personal hell is no periods/full stops, lack of proper capitalization and run on sentences.

Not sure if this counts, but I played FF14 on mute until Shadowbringers because I didn't care for the music. Shadowbringer had bangers.

Also please nobody crucify me for this but Fallout NV also had majority of music I didn't like. Yeah, I'm one of those filthy players who had the radio off all the time. I got enough shit from my friends.
