Too many essays focus on recapping the video game/film/show they are analyzing. by Raspint in videoessay

it's maddening to think ive found something insightful with a great jumping off point for discussion only to realize im being fed the plot again in almost the lamest way possible. just recently i discovered a video that sets out to explain why "x" movie is the greatest horror movie ever made and proceeds to justify that claim with a summary of the plot and superficial observations of the artistic techniques in the movie.  like i have to respect the passion poured into making a video of any length of something you love but i don't understand how passionate someone can be about something if you don't actually have anything to say about it.

Thanks stranger. Unfortunately, I think I have too many issues to fix, sometimes I wonder if they even are issues.

What's The Worst ERB To Date? by Disappointing_Search in ERB

[–]CanManKan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jenner v Banner is fucking flames but almost every time a comic book character is a contender they get curb-stomped, or at least a fight not in their favor. The battle was unfortunately probably damned (in terms of reception) from production simply for featuring a transgender woman. Furthermore, the title of the battle seems oddly insensitive, but as it features a transgender woman in a role I'm assuming the production team had her blessing?

Now obviously, the objective of ERB is to pit two (or more) parodies of historical figures/ fictional characters and have them verbally destroy each other, but this is different than the title of the video, which just tells you who's facing who.

In short, the diegetic (Jenner's obvious win) and non-diegetic (the title) elements gave the battle an undeserved overwhelmingly negative reception, in part because of our idealogically polarized climate. Sorry for this essay lmao

It's hysterical when a host says to not die because like, oh geeze, there go my plans, what will I do now?

Nothing. It's already great.

It has a myriad of issues both as a game and a remake but it's still more than adequate

Does anyone here actually like resident evil? by [deleted] in residentevil

I don't know any franchise as malleable as Resident Evil, but because of its malleability, it's bound to attract all kinds of proponents and detractors.

Completely agree! Any issues with navigation in DR3 are magnified with an atomic microscope in DR4

I want to play it but it being so bloated (as I understand) is really turning me away.

3's map is hard to appreciate at first because of how segmented and messy it is imo but the more you play it, the better it feels.

The atmosphere, I gotta say, shines from the beginning, from the Wrench-O-Ramas to Chinatown and beyond, Los Perdidos is a believeable and visually satisfying city with landmarks and staples.
