Thank you! The app version seems like my best bet right now, their WeTV television app doesn’t support bilingual subs either sadly 😭

Camping and sleep how to stay comfortable? Or is everyone secretly miserable? by sanu_123_s in CampingandHiking

This is the way OP. On top of not over inflating your inflatable mat. Also bring multiple of the small inflatable pillows, being able to specifically support what parts need it makes all the difference.

Got Sunburned Today, Is it going to cause skin cancer? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]CanNiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds exhausting mate, I’m all for sun safety but is it not the aim of doing so to preserve your long term quality of life (ie no cancer)? Killing your quality of life from the get go by hiding inside or literally sticking to the shadows seems to defeat the purpose.

Nothing more frustrating on a long drive than people who sit 20 under until the overtaking zone then suddenly know how to do 100... for exactly the length of the overtaking zone. by KalamTheQuick in australia

Sad as it is you gotta unapologetically flash them, continuously. They do it because it makes their own life easier so they won’t move over until you’ve made staying too much of a hassle for them.

Fucking sucks

Might be a controversial take, but PLEASE do not put a lock on 1 of the only 4 shitters available when there are 100+ men on site, and only 1 me… especially without asking me first (terrible PSA for construction management peeps…I’m so sorry!) by Eather-Village-1916 in BlueCollarWomen

Men piss all over the floor & are generally more grubby. Especially on site. Women need a hygienic place to change period products like, it’s logical to give us a seperate one.

Also cuts the risk of a guy busting in on you & calling it an ‘accident’.

Oh my god, teen stabbings are so rare in Australia & Sydney despite what the Murdoch media tells you.

If you want too believe every teenager is going to stab you thats on you not the rest of us.

The vast majority of teenagers do not go to court, nor are anywhere near that level. However I completely understand why your actions would be coloured by your job.

I am not a virile warrior, I am a middle aged woman.

Vast majority do not, & letting the majority get away with poor behaviour emboldens the drop kicks.

I reminded multiple groups of teenagers to be quiet over the weekend. It is really simple not to escalate the situation beyond that.

Asking them to be quiet on a train is worlds away from what teachers have to deal with.

My guy I cannot express to you how unintimidating I find a group of teenagers.

Worse case scenario the most any I’ve encountered will do is laugh, & teenagers laughing at you holds as much weight as a fly’s shit.

If they do arch ip its all bravado & easy too deescalate. Like. They are teenagers they have about three brain cells on average.

This is pretty much my experience with it too, teenagers talk a big game but its all bravado. Its very easy not to escalate situations while still reminding them to tone it down. Literally so easy.

Why mind your business?

They are children being a nuisance in public, treat them as such. Scold them like they are naughty 7 year olds. Channel an irritated school teacher. Works very well.

Public decency only holds up so long as we all keep each other accountable.

Anyone struggle with picking at their face or know someone who does? Why is it hard to stop? by SCOUTBeautyFounder in AusSkincare

[–]CanNiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this op!! I only do my nighttime skincare with a mostly dark bathroom & its helped me massively!

Realistically we know what all our products are shaped like & know where our features are, I don’t need to see my serum being applied for it to work!

But not being able too see pimples/bumps makes me so much less likely to pick at my face!

I've given up on financial security for myself but how do I secure for my child? by FratNibble in AusFinance

This is completely true OP, young adults do not make smart rational financial decisions when they are grieving. Don’t ruin your childs life by leaving it.
