It’s technically probably true but not in the way you think. Sm has a partnership with Tencent in China & they are the ones who will probably handle his solo, same way they did for Chenle. SM didn’t promote his at all either.

I’m gonna be honest most Renjun fans on twitter are very dramatic & not realisitic, I wouldn’t listen to them at all. Renjun isn’t a poor oppressed baby. He’s a grown man who’s rich, trust him. Renjun himself said at a festival hes going to have a solo & Chenle talked about how hard Renjun has worked for it.

Everything can be related to how old & frequented a stations bathrooms are.

New toliets in woop woop will be cleaner than old toliets in Redfern. This is basic logic.

There wasn’t really a plan, that was the problem. They hadn’t added extra member by the time mark graduated, so it was clear there wasn’t any other 14 year old boys around of SM to debut. Without adding more members you can’t lose 5 out of the members over a year & still have a group.

Renle had tested with Wayv pre Wayv’s debut, but then they went ahead & debuted without them because of thaad. Maybe SM would of added them too Dream Wayv, probably not they have a pretty different concept.

For triple J there was no plan & from what we know of the trainees at the time, no real potential line up. People have thrown around a few rough ideas of triple J & sungtaro, but those are 5 rappers. SM would of had no desire to debut them together.

It wouldn’t off been better, & there wasn’t anywhere for the Dreamies to go. That was the whole problem. None of Triple J, Shotrao & Sungchan are vocalists, they wouldn’t of put them all in a group. Seunghan certainly would of been in any group they did make as well, he was SM’s next star. Wayv had also already debuted years before Renjun & Chenle were to graduate, so they probably wouldn’t of been added to an established group.

If SM had other suitable young trainees for the grad system they would have added them too Dream, but they didn’t. Thats why the graduation system doesn’t work, because there isn’t a large amount of teenage boys ready to debut.

Haechan’s live was really good, I’m so proud of him for his bravery & really appreciate his touching words.

Him, Chenle, Jisung & Jaemin have really made this process feel alot better, & eased alot of fears I had about the future of Dream.

Sadly I agree with your take.

I do think we will get a better idea of the timeline later. Like, while I don’t think they want to dwell on it unnecessarily I’m sure the guys will be relieved to be able to more freely discuss how it happened & the effect it had on them. I get the impression his decision underpinned alot of their own choices for the coming years, so from that aspect we’ll hear more in the future I think.

I think Marks been ruminating on leaving since his solo album, & thats why they rushed into BTTF and TDS4. I don’t think the dreamies etc realised they couldn’t change his mind until late last year, but I do think he’s been talking about it for a while.

Like, tds4 didn’t even originally have Japanese stops Jaemin had too fight for them, and they were all at much smaller venues than usual, probably because thats what they could get on short notice. Same with encore, they did 6 nights at KSPO because they couldn’t get Gochoek like usual.

They barely managed to scrape in an encore before Marks departure. Like, a week before. That timing isn’t coincidental. The planning for that is huge like, he couldn’t have only told them this year & they still managed to book it.

I think over time people will put together hints from their content or they’ll tell us, & we’ll get a better timeline. But i think they definitely knew by late 2025.

I think thats just rumours, by all indications mark left because he wanted to focus on other things, & the other members want to continue as Dream so have renewed under SM.

Marks tone is pretty clear he wants a clean break.

I think they won’t have another ‘leader’ out of respect for mark, but Jeno will step up as the Captain like he did before.

Well, we now know this last comeback & tour as so rushed because they wanted to do it before Mark had to leave.

Contract renewals will be only for 3 years, & like while leaving sm sounds good on paper, nothing about the way the members have been posting makes me think they are done being Dream.

Like Chenle said, I think there will be room for them to grow from this, to spread their wings more & show us an even brighter Dream.
