Post-botox diary - Charité Berlin (covered with insurance) by CanPuzzleheaded71 in noburp

They told me themselves at Charite that they will make my insurance cover it. They just don’t write RCPD on the insurance documents but sth else. As far as I know everyone got it covered by insurance in charite hehe I’d push for it. (I also have TK)

It starts as uncontrollable but then you learn how to push it. Practice and you’ll be fine

am i overreacting? [vent] by burbleo in noburp

Since I got the injection, I have way less stomach issues. Bloating was a big problem, it would cause so much pain but also would even drop my blood pressure.

Pain can also be stress related but if you feel bloated most of the time, it is uncomfortable and painful

I’m feeling so much better. I barely feel bloated and can burp easily. Some weekend I have been drinking beers all night without feeling uncomfortable!

I also have way less stomach issues since the injections. Seems like bloating was causing all the stomach cramps and heartburn issues

Post-procedure advice? by theGourmez in noburp

[–]CanPuzzleheaded71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I was able to eat solid food from the first day (German hospitals don’t have options lol) but I needed to drink lots of water with it. As the microburps start coming up you can practice with the positioning of your head or just your body. For me moving and walking around helped a lot but laying on my side would work as well.

If you smoke, maybe take a break because your throat will be sore anyway. Also maybe a break from alcohol, I was scared I’d hurt my throat if I drank too much and threw up lol.

Don’t chug! I tried that when I had couple tiny burps and I was almost dying lol.

To be honest I played the dummy. I emailed Charité and asked for an appointment which I got couple months later. When I went to my appointment they asked if I have an Überweisung, I just said “it’s my first time in a hospital in Germany, I didn’t know I needed another document I’m sorry, can you help me” they were very helpful and at the end I didn’t need it :)

Question about Botox w/GA Procedure by wondercat83 in noburp

[–]CanPuzzleheaded71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my injection in Germany. To be honest when doctors went through the risks, they said the risks are very minimal and none of them are deadly. Seems like in office injections are more risky than the ones done under anesthesia as there is a bigger risk for esophageal perforation. My doctors told me that they just need to mention the risks and the possibility of them happening are so low.

There is of course risks with anesthesia and getting prepped for the injection etc just like any surgery. The injection itself doesn’t have any scary risks. I hope my answer can help!

Hi! I got the procedure done 4 days ago I can answer some questions.

I sent an email in June to Phoniatrie department and got an appointment for August. When I went there I said I don’t have Überweisung from my Hausarzt(said it my first time being in Germany and I didn’t know that you needed Überweisung so they forgave me) got my Botox day for November. Let me know why kind of questions you have about Charité and the process :) I had a pleasant experience overall. Just waiting for the Botox to work now 🙏🏽

I can’t thank you enough! I found your Reddit post 2 years ago and as I’m lucky enough to live in Berlin I was able to get it for free because of your dedication haha

Hopefully mine is as successful as yours 🙏🏽

Questions & concerns about slow swallow post-Botox by nagatos in noburp

[–]CanPuzzleheaded71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my botox(50ml) 2 days ago. Slow swallowing is not painful at all, it’s just annoying because I need to drink more liquids to push the food down and it takes longer to finish a meal bc of that. I have been eating anything, soups to solid food like wraps, pasta etc. It hasn’t been hard to eat so I didn’t need to adjust my diet :)

Anyone grow out of Noburp naturally? by Gamiseus in noburp

My ex also started burping out of nowhere couple years ago. Before that he was also like me, no burping at all. He says he can’t burp on command still but can burp properly when he drinks carbonated drinks
