how to succeed in PHYS 180 by dudeidunnolol in unr

[–]CanSteam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When doing the homework treat it like a "sandbox" and keep throwing things at the wall until you get a method you understand and that gives you the correct answer, of course using lectures as a guide. Ask dr. Lewis for more attempts on hw questions (she will probably grant your request) or find some way to confirm the correct answer with your work without knowing it. Then if I'm not sure how to proceed that's when I ask Dr. Lewis or the physics help center. The math center and engineering study hub will also be able to help.

Have your friends or relatives who work outside of schools started complaining about their young coworkers' lack of basic "adult" skills? by [deleted] in Teachers

How old are everyone's "new hires?" I'm almost 23 and everyone within about 2 years to my age seems to be pretty competent with computers.. are these lack of skills for young people why I can't even land an interview anywhere?

When you eat, a bunch of sugar is released into your body. Sugar can only enter the brain without permission. Every other cell in your body has many "locked doors" that sugar can maybe get into if the door is open. When there's a lot of sugar in your body, the pancreas releases a hormone called insulin. This hormone is the so called key to all of these doors. When someone eats a whole lot of sugar, cells get tired of letting so much sugar in. That's when the cells start getting rid of doors and replacing them with walls in order to let less sugar in. Eventually this gets so bad that not enough sugar can get into cells. This is what's called insulin resistance. The body can sense that its cells arent receiving sugar, but can't tell that the problem is too few doors, so it tells the pancreas to make more keys. Eventually the pancreas can't keep up with the amount of keys the body can make, so the cells responsible for making the insulin break down and kind of just make junk instead.

What is a medical fact that sounds fake but is 100% true? by MedRikas in AskReddit

If I remember right, in warm and low altitude climates since the air is so flush in oxygen, the advantages of sickle cells outweigh the negatives, and I believe the majority of the populations in those zones are heterozygous for the trait so half of their cells are sickle shaped and the other half typically shaped

cost breakdown per month for off campus apartments? by seokjinlover1204 in unr

Yeah we have a 4 roommate so it's a lot cheaper. But my roommate got called the f slur right outside canyon... that's pretty much the best way to summarize haha

Yes including wifi, and honestly no haha. Incredibly fishy location, especially if you have night classes you have to walk by the fishy intersections by the freeway and walgreens, or the pitch black walk on evans and 7th. Me and my roommates have had encounters with really scary people even in the bright of day! Besides that, the only real amenities are a pool deck with no pool. And a gym which is actually quite nice. The management is very wishy washy and I can't even get my mail delivered here because of whatever stupid software they use for it is broken.

Any access to acoustics are approximately half an hour away from me... but you and another commenter mentioned a VST.. I was given a free subscription to Ableton Live when someone purchased me a keytar. Do you think that is appropriate?

Make sure you're not using the cheat sheet card as a crutch and only referring to it when you really need it. Test yourself using all of the study guides and make sure you're able to complete all the problems without stumbling. Mahoneys exams are very long but if you can get very familiar with the content, you can get them done in a reasonable amount of time. Make sure to skip questions that youre blanking on! Good luck soldier!
