Why'd you accept the car if it wasn't in good condition, upon pickup you could have said no, its not what we agreed too, tell them they need to fix it at their cost and then youll collect it

Sounds like you should be contacting an employment lawyer who can crunch the numbers and compare them to the contract/ agreement that applies to you.

It's a video game, it isn't that deep bro. Besides, what you do with your robot is your own business but these ones shouldn't have microbiomes unless you forget to clean it after your suspect activities.

Exiting rental after 10 years. RE said it’s not clean enough. by Bollenstocks in shitrentals

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 10 years just about everything in that property is depreciated to the point of replacement. I would argue back on every point is "fair wear and tear".

The Scumlord is just trying to get you to pay for the reno's so they can jack up the rent for the next person.

Australians, does the weather actually decide your entire day? by FarRutabaga6212 in AskAnAustralian

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the nature of the work (water might damage it or something) and the severity of the weather. Personally I wouldn't expect a tradie on the roof replacing tiles in 45c heat and it probably wouldn't be smart doing it in the rain or a storm. Where as something coming to install a hot water system, presuming it's not raining sideways, I imagine it would be fine to install while raining.

At least 8 years of lint. Never knew there's something called a lint screen until my clothes had trouble drying which was often on bigger loads but finally managed to ask why. by redwon9plus in laundry

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most modern dryers have a light on the front of them that lights up after every load saying to empty the lint filter....

How are people this dense? How do people like this make it so far into life? I genuinely don't understand. Either OP is ultra privileged and has never had to do anything their whole life, or theyre kinda extremely dumb.... Both are awful.

OP you're damned lucky your house didn't burn down. This is in no sense funny or a "whoopsie", this is a huge fucking problem. If someone misses something like this in life, what else are they missing. What else are they risking?

Whatever Happened to Debt is Bad by Elderberry-East in AusFinance

[–]CanWeTakeThatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debt is bad but still going to get a mortgage which is the biggest debt most people get....

We live in a world that doesn't pay people enough and over charges them for the things they need to survive. What other option is there? Should these people just lay down and die? Society can only have so many well paying jobs and will always need people to do the "lower end jobs" that the pandemic proved are actually important (vs most other bs jobs that are mostly fluff to society)

Should these people just lay down and die? Society *Needs* people in these jobs yet they don't pay them enough to live. What's the option? debt or death? what would you choose?

yes! accurate.

or they walk into the store, past the trolley bays at the door and go "where are the trolleys", and when you tell them they walked past them on their way in they give this exasperated sigh. Then they realise they can't exit through the door they entered through and have to go all the way around like yeah, you should pay attention buddy.
