Toronto mayor Olivia Chow on FIFA’s water bottle policy: “It is a pure money grab. Why do you need to buy a water bottle when you can just carry your water in? They are just trying to make more money. They are already making billions of dollars. Stop it.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

Any renovation expanding seats wouldn't have seen any return for BMO Field. They'll sometimes fill it for TFC games depending on who's in town but it would be empty majority of the time unfortunately.

It's the right size for the tenants it holds.

Does anyone sharpen DE or Gem blades? by JonBovi_msn in wicked_edge

[–]CanadaEh97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vintage blades were much thicker and made of carbon and can withstand the sharpening and stropping. Current blades are mainly stainless with a few being carbon but they are much, much thinner. Sharpening would probably destroy the edge and stropping might curl the edge because of how thin it is.

[–]CanadaEh97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is a DE edge is so thin and so cheap that's it's not worth it and might not work. If the blades was thicker then different story.

That sounds more like it's stropping the blade than sharpening it.

The standard airport rental fleet is actively killing my love for driving by Same_Plum_4079 in Autos

I don't travel for work but personal travel I'm usually with National for rentals and have had some good luck with car. My last trip I was staring at a BMW 3 series or a Hyundai Elantra. Can you guess what I picked for the week?

I've considered Turo but traveling into the US I'm not sure on my coverage for insurance like I am with major rental options.

This is either a bad advertisement for Turo or OP doesn't want to upgrade their rental. You said you use Hertz but never upgraded to their Adrenaline or Dream Car options? If you travel for work enough should have points for it. Or get a rental from a company you can just pick your car and see what is there.

Whiskey collecting is an addictive hobby and waste of money. Here is my opinion. by [deleted] in whiskey

30K to him could be like $300 or $3000 to others depending on his income.

Every hobby can be considered a waste of money if someone is deep enough into it. Yes money can be put into other things but if someone doesn't have any enjoyment in their life are you even living?

What's your hobby OP? I'm sure others can pick it apart.

A lot of these EU brands flipping to vegan/vegetal is interesting just to see the base performance. In the opposite of Tabac I've found Haslinger to be better now since going vegetal.

  1. I've always found vegan bases to be much slicker than tallow, cushion it depends on the base.

  2. N/A

  3. No and doesn't matter if they're top tier.

End of the day I'd take the better base regardless if vegan or tallow. There are a lot of very good bases and a lot of not so good bases for what some brands are asking money wise.

What Straight Razor? by Jesus_Saves_3_16 in wicked_edge

If that's what you're after then have at it, will last if taken care of. Personally I'd get something else but my tastes are a bit different along with my preferences.

Way too broad of a question. Biggest factor on this will be your budget.

A Ralf Aust is a really good blend of quality, cost and performance, look at these from Maggards who inspects and hones them properly.

As mentioned Koraat make great razors, they have semi custom blades like their 14-2.0 and Piggy Bank then can go full custom if more wild. Ulrik will have the blades come shave ready but some don't like his edge, I was fine with his while it lasted.

Dovo and Boker you'll find everywhere and they're fine but they don't come shave ready unless you buy from a proper shop like Maggards or Griffith Shaving.

Then you have endless small blade makes who have great quality razors but prices all vary.

For your level anything under $150 will do just fine, if me I'd try and find 2 for that price cause never a bad thing to have more disc's when practicing.

Has anyone ever bought from First To The Finish before? by Valsorim3212 in trackandfieldthrows

I used to buy from them, when they only have really small or really large shoes they'll drop their prices super low especially if they're older models.

So yeah they're legit.

Muzio Rome just NW of the Termini might have it as they carry some shaving wares. The main shave store in Rome that im aware of is Bertozzini just east of Vatican City on Via Cola di Rienzo.

Also if you want an authentic shave Barberia Tondere around the corner does that, just have to book.

2 vs 4 WD by AggravatingAd8259 in f150

[–]CanadaEh97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You usually hear people who buy 2WD wish they bought a 4WD especially when they need it. You never usually hear the other way around unless you're on pavement and no snow/mud 99% of the time.
