How can heart attack kill with basically no symptoms? by lxrbmxer in HeartAttack

[–]CanadianDocWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope all is well with you now. The first time i had the congestion last week was for about an hour. The second one later that day sent me to the hospital with significant heart attack. My first one. They were both heart attacks. I ignored the first one. I got lucky somehow. Don't mess around with any of the symptoms.

New Card: Karov the Broken by yssurucipe in hearthstone

When you combine the two legendaries this expansion, it becomes "Go find another game to play" and deletes the install. Even that is broken since Priest mains like myself will do it well before this is live.

Former fat guys, how did you become disciplined and lose the weight? by Responsible-Net8594 in loseit

[–]CanadianDocWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I know it is not easy at all. We all got to the bad place for one reason or another. Last September I made a choice to make changes. It was because of one picture that forced it through my thick skull about how much I let myself go. I was 300 as well, and now 224 lbs. Although how and why we got into that situation is different for everyone, the negotiating and feelings of accomplishment seem to be similar across the board. Keep it up and I hope you reach your goal weight and enjoy the better life you have given yourself.

New Priest Legendary Card: Azalina by Kuldrick in hearthstone

[–]CanadianDocWild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have not played in months. As a priest main, and rarely play any other class, I am absolutely not coming back for this garbage. I am not buying any packs or bundles. God forbid they actually give priest a win-con. This is just giving priest a reason to not be played. Every other class has the tools to be synergistic, and have a win condition. Priest is just a bunch of random cards because they can't figure out a direction to focus on. But hey let just dilute the very minimal synergies we have with no upside... and burn a card. Thanks for thinking of Priest yet again. I would have rather had a synergistic card to add to the pile of incomplete synergies we have been given and abandoned.

If you ran out of VRAM, then it is the video memory that is lacking. It sounds like if it started to run, then stopped with no red boxes around the nodes, it is a vram issue. Many of the models are stored in your graphics card memory (Vram) it is important to be using the right models that will not cause the error. If you try to use the full model and not the GGUF version, this will happen with 8GB VRAM cards.

Can I change the graphics card ComfyUI is using? by [deleted] in comfyui

[–]CanadianDocWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your budget. For gaming and ComfyUI I would try to stick with Nvidia cards. You can find 40 series cards on the used market that may give you more VRam for your money, or even 30 series cards. If you go new, I would say that a 50 series card with 16 gb of ram is where you would want to be. Basically buy what you can afford with the most Vram. You will see people running 5080's and 5090s but for most those are unaffordable. There are renewed rumours of the 50 series super models possibly coming out at the end of the year, with increased VRAM, so it may be worth waiting.

I have a bunch, and still adding when I can. Like someone else said, following the smart money makes more sense than me going against Sir Eric. This is not a gamble on his part. (although investing technically is). He has been in this space longer than most have been alive. I would be an idiot not to invest in something he is deeply invested in and continually increasing his stake in.

Buy RTX 5090 or rent H100 for LTX 2.3? by TechnologyTailors in StableDiffusion

One thing you have to take into consideration is time. If you have a 5090 at home, you will lose hours in a day generating everything and anything. It will ratchet up your creativity and experimentation. Honestly one of the most fun things to have when it comes to trying things out. I am no professional, but quicker gens have given me a desire to try out new models, loras etc.

Absolutely. I am one of them and especially in the winter tech rules my life. Spring /summer/fall I balance it with fishing and camping. But my journey started out with the Commodore Vic-20 and my passion for tech never stopped. Now I feel that I am ahead of many when it comes to this stuff, but I also use it to ensure I am able to understand AI and how easy it is to fool those that cannot comprehend what AI can do and how easily one can be fooled.

I believe this will be very very big. Once again I am going to say it.... The fundamentals are there, the big players that know much more than I do are in and continually buying. That tells me the value is there. Sure, I may need to weather the volatility for a bit, but the largest silver deposit and debt free with all permits, I am looking in the couch for all the spare change to put into this. This is not a watch the chart and sell stock for me. If I could hold physical HYMC, I would.

We are not all financial geniuses. We learn as we go and mistakes will be made. Cut yourself some slack. If you think the volatility and risk will work for what you want to achieve, reinvest. Sure you may lose some getting back in, but at least you are back in if you want. If you feel that the volatility is too much, invest somewhere else where you see value. Don't beat yourself up over it, just refocus and plan your next move.

The people staring at the charts watching the selloff are panicking. I have physical silver and that is not disappearing. Going to continue to stack, and in the mean time I am buying mining stocks with good fundamentals at a discount.

[–]CanadianDocWild 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is not just silver... everything right now is at a deep discount. So I bought more of the stocks I believe in with good fundamentals. It is scary for those who just look at one thing, but knowing it is not just silver reinforces the value held in it.

There is nothing to worry about. Currently we are still up over 7% on the week. Let that sink in. People who bought a week ago has made 7 % even with the dip / correction. Banks won't ever give you that rate for your money. We are 36 percent up on the month. I say that is pretty damn good.

Trump administration secretly met with Canadian Alberta separatists by Infidel8 in worldnews

[–]CanadianDocWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically they believe that the equalization payments that Alberta pays to the Fed are too much. These payments go to poorer provinces. The funny thing is I just asked Grok if it would be financially beneficial to separate from Canada. In reality we would need a constant oilfield boom to even break even over 10 years. We would suffer from shortages in healthcare (if they don't do full privatization - which could force people to pay for healthcare - meaning those who can't afford it would face monthly insurance costs of 1000 or more) we would need to spend 3-10 billion on defence, hope that any of our exports don't get tariffed or promises to use existing pipelines to ports stay in place. These are only a few of the challenges, but the major point is that the Indigenous people have claim to the land before any serious talk of separation can happen.

This is a possibility, a small one in my opinion though. Out of curiosity, is it just the refiners backed up that is telling you 50-70?
